The Siberian Husky is one of the coolest dog breeds. They were originally bred as sled dogs, so naturally, one of their most distinguishable traits is their thick coat. They were raised to work in packs pulling loads across the arctic terrain so they have to have a large amount of fur if they want to survive the cold weather.

Typically, their coat is a mix of white, gray, and black — the colors of the Siberian tundra.

However, one Husky named Tsuki has been getting more attention than most recently for her beautiful coat.

She has some markings that make her really stand out from the rest of the pack.

If you look closely, you’ll see that the black fur around her eyes makes her look like she is always wearing glasses.

Tsuki’s owner, 24-year-old Catarina Carvalho recently elaborated on the situation in a heartwarming interview with the Daily Mail. If you like dogs, you will absolutely melt over all of Tsuki’s adorable photos.

“We actually didn’t notice it right away,” explained Carvalho. “We started seeing it because many people would meet her and say she had ‘glasses’ around her eyes. It became kind of her signature image.”

Carvalho and her boyfriend live in an apartment in Leiria, Portugal.

Every day when they take Tsuki out to go for a walk, people see the colorings and make comments about it.

It’s so cute, they say! Although, something is happening to the markings now that no one ever expected.

The couple first brought Tsuki home when she was just an eight-month-old puppy.

The ‘glasses’ were really apparent back then.

However, as she has grown older, the markings are slowly starting to fade away.

She is transitioning to her adult coat. The glasses started as a deep black, and now, they are beginning to turn from grey to white. Tsuki hasn’t even turned two yet and she is already starting to look like a totally different dog.

People that know her say that she is still her same old energetic, fun-loving self.

However, she’s just missing her glasses now.

“Tsuki is very loveable but also super independent, which is a breed trait,” said Carvalho. “She is starting to get more affectionate as she is growing up but still likes to have her space.”

It’s typical that dogs’ personalities change as they mature.

They are much like humans in that regard.

Siberian Huskies are pack dogs and enjoy company.

However, they definitely don’t mind going off on their own for a while to chase small animals around either. It’s in their nature and they are masters of the frozen landscape. Although, in Tsuki’s case, playing with her favorite stuffed animal will have to suffice.

“She is a very friendly dog and loves both animals and people. She loves to go for walks, run and play with her favorite toy (a raccoon plushie).”

In a few more years, it’s likely that Tsuki will even have another dog to hang out with too.

Carvalho is thinking about getting another Siberian Husky in the future.

Although, for now, Tsuki is still the center of attention. On her Instagram page, she is quickly becoming famous for her beautiful glasses. While they aren’t quite as noticeable anymore, her fans don’t mind one bit. The cute Siberian Husky is still just as lovable as ever.
