Life presents certain struggles for all of us. Despite the reality that life isn’t “fair”, we all figure out ways to get on and make it for ourselves. In fact, part of life is getting through our struggles and doing things that we never dreamed possible.

Even dogs have struggles to overcome!

It’s quite an arrogant thing to believe that humans are unique in their troubles. In fact, animals often have it much worse than humans! They don’t have the medical care, safety, family, or community that we humans do.

Instead of comparing difficulties, however, we can help each other through them.

That’s where the story of the cutest dog ever comes in! His name is Gobbles, and he was born with a rare genetic condition that affected the way he can move, rendering him paralyzed in some places and mobility impaired in others.

Walking was a serious challenge for Gobbles, and most of the time, he just dragged himself around the floor.

The sight of the poor pup was tough to see as he dragged his body around the floor. Gobbles was still just a puppy, too. He had already experienced quite a bit of difficulty for someone so young! Thankfully, that isn’t where his story ends.

His family decided to take him to the Resurgence Veterinary Surgical Specialists and Rehab.

It’s quite a long name, so we will call them the Resurge Rehab Center for short. At the clinic, the team specializes in treatment for small animals. Based out of Lousiana, they see quite the gamut of animals.

Gobbles just so happened to be one of the little animals that they helped!

Like a real trooper, Gobbles was sent off to rehab so he could get mobile, just like a puppy should be! When he first got to the rehab center, Gobbles wasn’t able to do much. After some procedures and careful training, however, it’s amazing what a body can do!

Even though we all see stories of amazing recoveries, it’s still amazing to see just how versatile and capable of recovery bodies are, even dogs!

Nearly a month later, we got to see a video of little Gobbles. The results were incredible! From a dog who literally drug himself around and had nearly no ability to walk to now dancing around and have his own little party!

The team decided to record a video of Gobbles dancing with them to some music.

Known as his “happy dance”, Gobbles loves to use his newfound skills at dancing to celebrate that he can move around like never before. As we all know, if one person starts dancing, everyone has to join in – the entire vets’ office obliged!

Dancing and bouncing around to some music, the team celebrated a job well done, and Gobbles celebrated a new kind of life.
