The anticipation surrounding the cub’s name adds to the excitement of his journey.

The public’s eagerness to meet the cub is palpable.

“Everyone is extremely excited and anxious to pay him a visit once he makes his public debut,” Jake comments.

The zoo’s social channels are flooded with an outpouring of affectionate responses to their weekly updates.

The zoo is doing its best to satisfy the public’s “cub fix” while they wait to see him in person.

The cub’s introduction to his family was not limited to his father.

He also met his older sister, Kamara, who is four years old.

The Denver Zoo’s Instagram account describes Kamara as “the most attentive and affectionate older sister.”

While the zoo celebrates these adorable moments, it also emphasizes the importance of recognizing the threats these animals face in the wild.

The zoo hopes that the public’s love for these lions will inspire action towards animal welfare.

“It’s very important to remember that half of African lions have disappeared in the last 25 years and face growing threats, such as poaching, loss of prey and destruction of habitats in their native ranges,” a Denver Zoo representative told Bored Panda.
