Being a parent is a big job and a truly life-changing experience. It involves so much responsibility, and every prospective mom and dad needs to be ready for both the ups and downs of parenting.
Sure, there are plenty of fun moments, like cuddling up with your little ones and playing games with them, or seeing their faces light up when they’re happy.
But there are also some big challenges that come along with being a parent, and one of the most important things every mom and dad needs to do is command respect from their kids. If your kids don’t respect you, they’ll do whatever they want, and the same logic applies in the animal kingdom too!
This humorous video shows what it’s like for a doggy dad trying to keep his pups in check. The video begins with a big, strong Shiba Inu named Shiro getting a little cuddle from his human.
Shiro has several adorable puppies lying around the room, and it’s clear right from the start that he wants to keep them that way.
As any parent knows, it’s always better when your little ones are peaceful, relaxed, and napping, as compared to running around and making chaos!
After his owner stops petting him, Shiro begins glaring down at one of his pups, silently ensuring that the little fluffball remains calm and quiet.
The little pup seems to get the message, but as soon as Shiro’s back is turned, he gets to his feet!
Shiro must have eyes in the back of his head or something, because he immediately knows that something is up and spins around to confront the little one once more.
Again, Shiro uses his laser-focused staring technique to try and get his pup to lie back down. But this time, the little one resists, walking around a little until Shiro starts to growl, quite quietly but very menacingly at the same time!
Sometimes, you see dogs start to snap at their puppies or even snarl at them to exert their authority, but Shiro keeps his cool, even when the pup continues to ignore him and starts walking around the human’s legs.
The pup really starts pushing his luck towards the end of the clip, walking all around his dad, almost like he wants to see how far he can push his papa!
As the pup continues marching around, Shiro stays frozen in place, his eyes locked on his little one and his growls getting slightly louder. He opens his mouth a bit more, bearing his fangs, and the kid eventually seems to get the message!
The little one finally lies back down and starts napping again. Then, Shiro spots another one of his pups up on their feet and walking around the room.
A father’s work never ends! Luckily, after just one more little growl from papa, the second pup lies right back down. The clip ends with all pups lying peacefully on the floor and Shiro looking very proud of himself! Check it out down below.
