Dogs are basically our children with four legs.
They are more than just our trusty companions…they are part of our family. We want to keep them happy, healthy, and feeling loved. We also want them to find a comfy spot to rest their weary paws after a long hard day chasing squirrels and guarding the door.
Most dogs find a nice dog bed, a couch, or even the floor to cuddle up on at night or for a cozy nap.
And then there are dogs like Miss Ruby. She is extra.
Ruby is a West Highland Terrier that absolutely LOVES her bedtime routine. We can’t really blame her for looking forward to bedtime because she gets to cozy up in her very own bed. Not a dog bed…a single bed. In a video posted by Martha Jo Vance, Ruby’s owner, she gushes about how much her adorable Westie loves bedtime. “Our West Highland Terrier, loves going to “her bed” at night!” – Martha Jo Vance
Sweet Ruby happily starts her nighttime routine.
Ruby turns her head when she hears her owner saying, “Time for bed Ruby! Come on!” and proceeds to scurry to the end of the bed. She hops off, trots out of the room with her tail wagging the entire time.
Ruby makes her way to her bedroom…yes her bedroom.
She gets a little help from her dad to get on HER bed and obediently lays down looking up at him as if to say, “I’m ready to be tucked in!” Wait for it..that’s exactly what happens.
While her pillow is fluffed, Ruby couldn’t be more excited.
Her dad gently picks her up and places her on the freshly turned down pillow…her tail still wagging. He grabs the sheet and blanket and tucks them separately under Ruby’s neck.
Ruby’s adorable bedtime routine video has more than 1.2 million views and we completely understand why.
As if the entire tucking-in routine wasn’t cute enough…Ruby’s dad asks for a goodnight kiss. Ruby lifts her head up toward his head and plants a giant smooch right on his face. Then she happily lays her head back down on the pillow ready for doggie dreamland. *Swoon…squeal*
Now watch Ruby’s super cute bedtime routine video and be prepared to fall in love.
