Let’s face it. Kittens are just about the cutest baby animals ever. If you love cats, the sight of a small kitty is probably enough to make your heart melt.
While just about every kitten is adorable, they’re even cuter when they’re super young. But when only weeks to months old, they need a lot of attention and care to ensure they grow up to be as healthy and strong as possible.
For the most part, the mama cat takes care of her newborn kittens
When kittens are first born, they’re just like every other animal out there. Their mother is the one that takes care of them. This involves feeding, cleaning, and overall, keeping them healthy and safe. But some kittens need a little bit of extra help.
This is where humans come into play
If a mama cat isn’t around much or if she’s abandoned a newborn kitten altogether, humans have to step in to help. But caring for these babies can be tricky. Fortunately, they warm up to humans quickly. Once that happens, they start bonding with their new human “mom” or “dad.”
Fostering is important
When a shelter needs help caring for animals, they usually place them with a foster. That’s true of Best Friends LA. They needed some assistance with several adorable kittens. So, they went to a foster home.
These kittens love human attention
Talk about adapting quickly. These adorable kittens from Best Friends LA felt right at home almost immediately. And their favorite thing…being pet. They just can’t get enough love and attention.
They were captured on video
Seeing just how cute they were, the foster parents decided to record them. And of course, that meant sharing the video with the world. Whenever these tiny creatures did something cute, out came the camera. The video they captured is priceless.
One kitten keeps asking for attention
Although they all wanted attention from their foster parents, one, in particular, couldn’t get petted enough. In the video, you see a human hand starting to scratch the kitten under her chin. And by the reaction, she’s enjoying it. But then the petting stops.

As soon as the person’s hand stops moving, the look on the kitten’s face changes. She wants more attention. To get her point across, she opens her mouth and lets out a surprisingly loud meow.
So, the petting continues
Once her foster parent hears the kitten’s booming voice, they start petting her again. This kitten is so relaxed from all the attention she never opens her eyes. Then, the hand stops again.
And the meowing starts
This happens several times. The person starts petting her and then stops. Then, the kitten lets out another meow. Silly girl, all she wants is infinite pets so she can relax and takes a nap. Is that too much to ask for? We don’t think so.
The sibling gets attention too
This isn’t the only kitten being fostered. There’s another adorable gray baby in the background, probably also looking for attention. You can bet this house full of kittens is a fun place to spend time.
