Dogs truly are man’s best friends.
They’re always waiting to greet us with wagging tails and wet kisses when we get home, they’ll stay by our side through thick and thin, and they have an uncanny ability to make us laugh, even when we feel like crying!
The internet is filled to the brim with cute and funny dog videos, and we’ve got another one to share with you today, courtesy of a Danish lady named Ranveig Bjørklid Levinsen and her pet bulldog, Bogart.
Ranveig and her husband, Claus, live in the southern part of Denmark in an old home dating back to the early 19th century. They share the place with their two bulldogs, Winston and Bogart.
Winston, despite the male-sounding name, is actually Bogart’s mama. She had eight puppies in total, with Ranveig and Claus deciding to keep one of them and give the rest away to other families.
Ranveig describes Bogart as being very funny and super cute too, and he has a habit of trying to peek through the garden fence.
The family live right by a popular walking path, so there are always plenty of people walking by. Dogs are pretty curious creatures by nature, so it makes sense that Bogart and Winston would enjoy trying to see who is walking by.
Since Ranveig didn’t want the dogs accidentally pushing the fence down or climbing over it, she decided to make a couple of holes for the pups to peek through and see the street with ease.
And that’s when she had another idea: painting a couple of funny outfits around the holes to make the dogs look like they were all dressed up whenever they look through the gaps!
Ranveig says she got the idea from amusement parks and fun fairs where you can often see those colorful wooden photo stands for people to put their heads through and pretend to be someone else.
She decided to create a crown over one of the holes and a jester’s hat over the other, calling in her artistic daughter to do the painting.
So now, whenever anybody walks past and Winston or Bogart peeks through the hole to say hello, they’re sure to get a good laugh!
One day, someone walking by decided to film the scene, sharing it online, where it quickly went viral. It was shared on a big Danish influencer Instagram account and then started to spread all over the world!
Ranveig says that she’s been blown away at the fact that her bulldog has turned into a viral superstar, and she’s had plenty of messages from total strangers saying how the little clip made their day and put a smile on their face.
It’s so sweet to see that this little pup now has thousands of fans without even understanding why! Check out the funny clip for yourself down below.
