Every pet owner has been on the receiving end of an animal that refuses to cooperate. Most dogs love going for a walk, but one lazy husky has gone viral for his refusal.
Zeus was comfortably snuggled up on the couch when his owner told him it was time to go get some exercise. But he didn’t want to move. Even though he was already fully fitted with his leash, he had no interest in getting up.
Instead, each time his owner tried to coax him up, he responded with a loud howl of refusal.
She tried everything, but Zeus remained firm.
It almost sounded like a conversation the way he “awooed” back at her, responding each time she tried to get him up.
“I’m gonna leave without you,” threatened his owner. “Get off the couch, come on!”
Zeus isn’t the only dog who has gone viral for getting into an argument with his owner. Another dog owner captured a video of his American Boxer, Buddy, refusing to get off the couch. He was demanding pets and snuggles and wasn’t getting what he wanted. So, Buddy planted himself firmly on the couch and complained.
Refusing to look at his owner in the eye, Buddy stood his ground — or rather, sat his ground.
“You don’t need any love,” his owner said. “No, you’ve been to the dog park twice today. And you got a bath and you went on a car ride. You don’t need any more love!”
And don’t think that dogs are the only ones known for being stubborn. There are plenty of cats that have shown they can give as good as they get. The key difference is that cats usually show an attitude for no reason at all.
Just take Gizmo – he decided to touch a hazelnut for no reason at all.
That’s it — that’s the whole thing. In a video entitled “Gizmo and the Hazel Nut,” this cat showed off his natural feline attitude. As the fluffy cat relaxes in a box, his owner approaches him to show off his sass.
“Gizmo, whatever you do, don’t touch this hazelnut,” she says, placing a nut on the counter in front of him.
He surveys the nut for a long moment, then wedges his paw out of the box and gently touches the nut. It’s a hilarious example of how cats love to defy their owners over anything, at any time, for no reason at all.
“This video describes the entire cat race in 19 seconds and it’s beautiful,” wrote one YouTube commenter.
There’s no doubt we all love our pets, no matter how stubborn and defiant.
Whether it’s a dog that doesn’t want to go for a walk or a cat that’s determined to start a fight, pets will always be the animals — with attitude — that have a home in our hearts.
