Despite the business of the daily grind, It’s everyone’s responsibility to self-care.
Normally, grooming is a part of our lifestyle that simply cannot be ignored. Something about clearing the clutter makes you feel totally more energized and pristinely clean afterwards.
However, sometimes it can lead to a different outcome altogether. A video clip shows a docile pitbull mix waiting to receive attention to her paws. What happens next may startle you, or completely brighten your day!
We begin by seeing Ginger, the lovely doggo, patiently awaits her master’s orders. It looks like she has a scheduled appointment with her personal groomer today and is patiently waiting to be attended. She seems to be in high spirits and looking attentive for today’s activity so it should be smooth sailing, right?
“Why are you scared? I’m not going to hurt you I’m just cutting your nails,” said Ginger’s owner.
After a nice pet and rub over the head, the owner begins to signal for Ginger’s paw in order to start clipping her nails.
The sweet doggo reluctantly refuses to obey the commands even with repetitive signals. The groomer is left with no choice but to gently grab Ginger’s paw to begin the process of clipping away. Suddenly, the unexpected happens.
“There she goes! Poompf!”
Ginger immediately flops on her back with her four paws in the air. She goes from resisting movement to almost fainting on the spot! That was quite the turnaround from what we would expect.
Luckily, her owners recognized this behavior as normal for Ginger and we’re not completely shocked by it. We need not say more after looking at Ginger’s reaction to her own hilarious stunt.
Her adorable face and jubilant expression are enough to tug on anyone’s heartstrings.
Whatever the case may be, it seems to be working. Ginger’s method to her madness may be questionable, but at least it’s getting the job done. She seems to be unfazed by her nails being clipped, but more importantly, she seems to be enjoying herself!
“You doing alright Ginger? Are you okay?” Asks her owner.
Ginger was just happy to be alive. She was very calm throughout and never seemed to pull up a fight. Now she’ll be able to play around and not have to claw at everything she touches. You can probably say that some important household furniture was preserved in the process. There are also important health benefits your dog and/or pets can experience from clipping their nails on a timely schedule.
There’s a variety of issues a dog can experience if they don’t take care of their paws. According to dvm360, bacterial claw infections are common. Some chronic severe infections of the nail bed can result in permanent defective class growth.
In addition, there are fungal infections that can occur as a result of organisms living within the nail bed that can cause diseases such as Malassezia which show a brown-red discoloration of the claw with a brown-colored waxy substance.
Finally, parasitic diseases are another peril to having long claws on your pet. The name pretty much describes the irritant and what’s more,is that it’s hard to detect topically. Skin biopsies are needed to confirm the existence of these hard to find parasites.
Those are just a few examples of what can occur as a result of having unkempt paws. Needless to say, it’s important to groom your pet periodically in order to avoid these health issues. it’s refreshing to see a dog like Ginger enjoy herself as she’s being cared for by her masters.
