Yes, the animals are cute, but they also require love and attention. Of course, giving them food and water for them to be healthy is also important.

Keeping animals in your home is not all about the cuteness and playtime they can share. They can help you be stress-free, but they are also living beings that need care and physical well-being.

There are various kinds of pets and I am pretty sure you have seen a lot of them…or so you think.

We have seen all kinds of cute animals on the internet, and I am not referring to only cats and pups. There are reptiles, sea creatures, and even elephants happily roaming in their sanctuaries.

Did you know that otters are also sweet and adorable pets? In Japan, otters are also popular pets. You might be thinking about sea otters right now, but this pair making waves of popularity on YouTube is not your regular otters.

In the clip’s caption, the owner shared that there are strict limitations on buying and selling otters in Japan because of trafficking. The government has placed rules and regulations when it comes to owning otters and the person owning Kotaro and Hana shared that they have legal permits for owning and raising the otters.

Who knew otters could be so cute?

First of all, these otters are not the same as the sea otters we know from the U.S. Sea otters live at sea and get their food from it. They enjoy eating marine life that they catch from where they are in the saltwater.

There are also river otters who, basically, live in bodies of water that do not contain salt. Although the majority of otters live in water-filled habitats, these animals can also live on land. In Japan, in particular, otters can be kept as house pets and they are being domesticated.
