Animals can be selective about the other creatures they let into their lives. This is one of the reasons why some dogs don’t like other dogs. This is also a good reason why cross-species bonds happen.
One adorable otter is going viral online.
It’s not because she stole a fish or created a huge mess at home. She’s takings social media by storm because of his unique routine during bedtime.
Sakura can’t sleep without giving her cat friend some hugs.
Some people might find that hard to believe. After all, cats and otters are two different creatures. Fortunately, there’s proof and it’s a huge hit online.
Their human took a video of Sakura.
In the viral video, the tiny otter can be seen wrapping her small arms around Mochi. She’s burying her tiny face in the cat’s fur in the most adorable way.
And right after giving her friend a hug, the 3-year-old otter falls asleep quickly and for long periods of time. It’s probably her way to avoid insomnia for good.
The video has over 9.5 million views!
Most of the people who’ve seen it have nothing but praises for the pair.
One of the viewers commented:

Cats are moody animals. If you own one, you’d know how grumpy they can get at times. Fortunately, this cat’s not like that.
Mochi has a high tolerance for Sakura’s hugs and it’s not something he was able to develop overnight. It’s certainly a product of being together all the time.
Since Mochi and Sakura got together, they’ve been inseparable.
They like to hang out next to each other. In fact, they like to relax and take naps together. It’s their most favorite thing to do in the world.
They seem to be each other’s source of comfort and security and that kind of bond is hard to break. It may seem unusual but it’s definitely special.
Sakura and Mochi have an Instagram page. There, they have over 50,000 followers. They’re quite famous on YouTube, too. In fact, they have 614,000 subscribers there.
Their human likes to post about their daily adventures and people are loving it. Well, who can’t resist their charm? They look so adorable together. Plus, their friendship is just so heartwarming.
