Aww!
Orangutan asks man for a banana then gets rid of peel in hilarious fashion
This is too funny! He had to get rid of the evidence somehow. Otherwise his keepers might find out about his extra snacks!

One of the most easily trained animals to appear on the big screen and TV – the orangutan – has the cutest expressions and most mesmerizing pools of deep brown eyes. In the 1970s hit movie Every Which Way but Loose, legendary actor Clint Eastwood has the best sidekick, Clyde, who has an awesome role, showing just how capable these creatures are.

The orangutan’s name was Manis and after starring in the movie, he returned to Las Vegas where he starred in a special act with his trainer. For the second Clint Eastwood movie Any Which Way You Can, orangutan C.J. assumed Manis’ role and remained an actor for six years.

Orangutans are believed to be one of the world’s most intelligent animals and most intelligent among the primates. They can be trained to carry out human tasks such as communicating like a mime, retrieve items and open doors.

In the video below, a man is greeting the orangutan sitting on the other side of the wall in its enclosure.

His acquaintance captured their entertaining exchange on camera and it demonstrates how truly spectacular orangutans really are.

The man leans on the barrier holding a tasty banana. The orangutan knows what the yellow object is and stretches out its hand as if motioning for the man to give it to him.

The man holds out the banana to make sure that the primate wants it and the orangutan wiggles its fingers as if to say, hurry up dude.

So the man lobs the banana across the stone wall and the orangutan plucks it out of the air. The beautifully hairy creature swiftly peels the banana, munches off a mouthful and begins to chew.

It devours the banana and then, much to everyone’s surprise takes the empty banana peel and chucks it right back at the man.

No littering for this orangutan! He’s got to kid rid of the evidence somehow.

When the orangutan holds out its hand and politely requests a second banana, the man shakes his head slowly back and forth, telling the orangutan no. The orangutan pulls its hand back, picks up something off the ground and throws up its arm as if it’s going to chuck something at him.

Suddenly, an object flies over the barrier and the man ducks to avoid it! This orangutan means business.

The man has a second banana and the orangutan knows it. So the man tosses the other banana to the orangutan and it gleefully noshes on the fruit, then once again flings the banana peel back at him.

Yet again the orangutan picks up an item and throws it at the man when he doesn’t produce a third banana. The man cleverly slides out of the way.

It’s incredible how these two are interacting, almost like a young child gesturing and acting out what’s needed to the adult in his life.

The woman recording the interaction can be heard laughing behind the camera when the man disappears behind the wall a second time. The orangutan looks away almost as if to pretend the incident never happened.

Watch the video below and pay close attention to how these two understand each other without words. It’s amazing!
