We’ve all heard of the saying, ‘when the cat’s away, the mice will play,’ but let’s look at a different scenario. One family was curious to see how their dog would react when they left the house, so they decided to set up a hidden camera just before they left.
One of the dogs was only a puppy, so being apart from their owner at such an early age can be difficult for them. The dog’s mom was probably expecting her pup to mope around or maybe rip up some toys in distress. But when she watched the footage back, she found her pooch acting the total opposite of sad or distressed, and it was hilarious to see.
According to Rumble, the dogs in the video were two golden retriever brothers. One was an adult and thought himself quite a responsible and mature Good Boy, while the other was an 8-month-old puppy. You can clearly see the age difference between the two in the video, and it’s simply adorable.
As the owner leaves, the adult brother is sitting peacefully on the couch. He knows that his owners will be back eventually, and he thinks it might be a good time to get a nap in. But his younger brother has other ideas. He excitedly runs around the room in circles, stopping every so often to rush up to his brother and bark happily at him.
Now that the owners have left, he thinks that this is the perfect opportunity to have some fun. They have the whole house to themselves, and the opportunities are endless. It’s time to play, and he wants his brother to play with him.
The little pup zooms around the room so quickly that he becomes just a blur on the camera footage. Meanwhile, his older brother stays sensibly sitting on the couch for the whole time, as if to say, “this is how you’re supposed to behave!”
This hilarious video isn’t the only hidden camera footage that’s had us in stitches. The next video shows a dog’s owner leaving for work with the camera pointing in the direction of the couch. The cushions of the couch are covered with what appears to be magazines – a clear sign to the pooch that he should stay off the couch.
But the sleepy pooch just wants a nap, and he knows where the comfiest spot is. He seems to have a tough time making the decision, as he goes to jump and then changes his mind multiple times. His guilty conscience is clearly weighing on him. But eventually, he ignores the magazines and jumps up into the couch, simply settling down on top of them.
