Christmas gift surprises are the best!
Writing a wish list may be practical, so you’re assured that the gift you get is what you want or the gift you give would be something the recipient would love.
However, surprises hit differently, especially when you know the perfect surprise for the person.
Surprise gifts mean a lot to the receiver.
Giving a surprise gift means that your gift is well-thought and you’re confident enough that the person would love it.
It also means that you took notice or paid attention to what the person needs or loves to receive without telling you or saying it out loud.
A heartwarming video went viral because of their Christmas surprise for their mother.
This video is more than a decade old, but it’s always nice to do a little throwback on these beautiful moments that would make us realize the spirit of Christmas.
After all, this is what the season is all about – giving, caring, and pure joy.
Merri-Lee Stine uploaded this video on YouTube after they surprised their mother.
You can see that they prepared a paper bag full of little gifts that would lead up to the big reveal.
Their mother unwrapped the first gift, and it was a tiny giraffe plushie. She looked a bit confused and also a bit intrigued.
Next was a Piglet plushie.
This confused her even more!
But they kept hinting to her that these were little clues to a bigger gift related to all the little ones.
Their mother paused to think, but still, none came to mind.
The last gift was another plushie, but this one was a lamb.
Their mother laid down all the plushies, thought of it for a while, but still had no clue what their final gift was.
Merri panned the camera showing how everyone was anticipating the final reveal.
Their father sat beside their mother as they signaled it was time to show her what they got.
They told her to close her eyes as they prepared for the big reveal.
Their father wrapped an arm around her, and they told their mother to lean back and clear her lap because they would need some “lap space.”
And while this gift was meant for both of their parents, this one meant more to their mother.
They brought out their final gift and told her to open her eyes.
It was a puppy!
According to People, Merri-Lee’s mom was a dog lover and used to have a chihuahua named Lady.
The beloved pooch sadly passed away a few months before Christmas.
They thought it’d be best to give their mother a dog because they knew how much she loved animals in general.
Their mother was speechless with their surprise gift.
She sat there the whole time looking at her new puppy named Archie, and all she could do was pet the little guy since she was at a loss for words.
Finally, the waterworks came down; we know those were all happy tears.
