If you’re an animal lover, you probably spend a good amount of time online looking at videos and photos. And who can blame you? After all, dogs, cats, horses, cows, and all kinds of other creatures are truly amazing.
Take dogs for example. When looking to adopt, some people automatically gravitate to a pup that resembles them. There are tons of photos that show just how much some humans and their furry friends look alike. But what about when people and their dogs end up doing something life-changing on the same day?
Expecting a baby
That’s what happened to a woman by the name of Kami. She and her husband, Joshua, had one child but were expecting another. As a happily married couple, they were beyond thrilled to bring another person into their family.
She went into labor
Like most expecting parents, Kami had her hospital bag packed. Now, all they could do was wait. But then it happened. With labor progressing, they headed to the hospital to welcome a new human life to the world.
They love their dog
Both Kami and Joshua also have a Goldendoodle, which is a cross between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle. Just like their son and soon-to-be second child, they love their pup a lot. To them, their dog is a bona fide member of their family. They have a very special bond, which is evident when seeing them all together.
Another change in the family
After arriving at the hospital and getting checked in, Kami and her husband were preparing for another miracle. But then, they received a message. Not only was she having a baby but their dog had also gone into labor. This was going to be one exciting day.
A unique story
This type of story isn’t something you hear of very often. So, it wasn’t surprising that a large news network picked it up. Before long, information about their expanding family had reached people around the globe. The video produced by Inside Edition has been viewed more than one million times so far.
Coincidence?
Sure, it could’ve been a big coincidence that the dog had her puppies on the same day that Kami and Joshua had their new baby. But since it’s rare, some people think the pup might’ve gone into labor due to stress or perhaps she was sympathizing with her human. We’ll never know.
Healthy all the way around
The best part, the new baby is healthy, mom and dad are healthy, the momma dog is healthy, and all the pups are healthy. They all made it through the birthing process with ease. The only difference is that Kami and Joshua only welcomed one baby while their pup had nine.
Such a beautiful family
The couple’s oldest son, along with their new baby, will have the joy of growing up with a dog in the home. But considering the puppies are so adorable, there’s a good chance they’ll keep at least one. What a wonderful way to raise children.
Already loved by dogs
To celebrate such a special event, Kami and Joshua had several professional photos taken. One, in particular, shows their newborn surrounded by some of the puppies. This baby isn’t even walking or talking yet but he’s already being showered with love from his furry friends.
Super cool
It’s not every day that humans can say they had a baby on the same day as their dog. This is one lucky family. People near and far loved this story. One individual commented, “Cuteness OVERLOAD.” Another person said, “Ah, that just warms my heart.”
