Dogs are known to be efficient in communicating with others. They use their barks or howls and even gestures to communicate with you or other dogs. This is especially true of Huskies, who use their howls to “talk” to their owners.
You may have seen a lot of clips of hilarious huskies mumbling on the internet. They look so adorable and silly at the same time that you can’t help but giggle. However, in today’s story, we will talk about how this particular Husky’s howl was the key to reunite with his owner.
Huskies are quite intimidating because of their size and proud stature, but they are also loyal and gentle pooches.
Even though they could get mischievous sometimes, they are one of the best, most intelligent dog breeds out there.
Siberian Huskies prefer howling over barking. Because this breed of dog works well in a pack, they need to coordinate with others through their mode of communication. They are often bred as sled dogs, wherein they are tied to a snow sled and pull it when given the signal.
One Husky’s unique howl ended up saving his life.
A group of teenagers found a weak and malnourished Siberian Husky on the streets of Beersheba, Israel. They then brought the poor dog to their local police station, hoping that they could find a way to help him.
After the police officers provided the dog with food, water, and a cozy quarter, they realized something. It turned out that this dog had the exact description of A missing dog that was reported recently in the same city. They proceeded to contact the people who could be the poor Husky’s potential owners.
To confirm whether it was their Husky, they asked the police to do something.
The owners did some sort of a gamble that could either give them hope or let them down. They asked the police officers to play the theme song of the TV show, Shemesh, which was their dog’s favorite song, and see if it would react.
The officers complied with the request and played the specific song near the dog. Surprisingly, the Husky excitedly perked up and began howling the moment the song played. It was as if the Husky was singing along with the song. That was when the owners concluded that they finally found their lost dog.
After the confirmation, the owners rushed to the police station to fetch him. The dog was happily squirming after seeing his owner, and his owner hugged him as much as he could. It was pure bliss seeing the heartwarming bond between the owner and the dog. The owner took the dog home with satisfaction.
You can’t underestimate the bond between dogs and their human companions.
The bond of a human and a dog is almost unbreakable because their partnership is mutually beneficial. Once they form a bond they would most likely be inseparable, both know each other’s traits, characteristics, and smell.
A dog is a man’s best friend indeed, and this Husky proved it to us all once again. Because of the owner and Husky’s strong bond, they were able to reunite with each other. For sure, he was rewarded with a bowlful of treats and a cozy bed after days of being lost on the streets.
