A missing dog could cause trauma to someone. Ask any dog owner, and they’d probably agree.
When a dog accidentally runs away from home, not only will it cause a ruckus inside the household and among family members, but also sleepless nights to its owners.
That also means everyday psychological and physical torture caused by endless searches here and there.
It’s almost safe to say that the worst part about missing a dog is not knowing whether your beloved dog is still alive or not.
A daylight nightmare it is. Why don’t you ask Kirstin?
Wyoming resident Kirstin Kapp can pretty much relate to this nerve-wracking feeling of having a dog on the loose.
Kapp was in total panic when she realized that her beloved border collie named Liddie was missing. Initially, she tried looking for her at home and within their neighborhood, but she ended up empty-handed.
She was left with no other choice but to agonize for the next three weeks. She’s just an ordinary dog owner, and all she wanted was to have her sweet doggo back in her loving arms.
They also tried spreading the news on social media with hopes that someone had luckily stumbled upon her.
In a Facebook post alongside photos of Liddie, they wrote:
“Our sweet, stick-chasin’ Betty dog is missing! Please keep an eye out for a red and white border collie female, very friendly, with a sunflower collar. The collar has her name and my cell phone number on it and we live out in the end of Poison Lake Road. I let her out of the yard to take with me to work cattle and she apparently took off! LaBonte community and surrounding areas, please let me know if you see her.”
An unexpected ray of hope.
After an agonizing three-week disappearance, Liddie’s fate took a heartwarming turn when she was discovered by a compassionate couple who graciously brought her home.
Recognizing the bond between Liddie and her owner, Kirstin Kapp, the couple embarked on a mission to reunite the separated duo.
Through some investigative efforts, the couple unearthed information about Kirstin and her workplace.
Filled with anticipation, they brought Liddie to the vet office where Kirstin was working. It was at this moment that their plan for an emotional reunion began to take shape.

As the doors swung open, Liddie’s tail wagged furiously with an overflow of joy and anticipation.
The pup’s excitement was palpable as she eagerly made her way inside the vet’s office. The sight of her owner’s familiar face and scent filled the air, everything was perfect for their nearing heartwarming reunion.
Without hesitation, Liddie raced towards Kirstin and started to whine out of extreme joy.
There was even a point when Liddie somehow unconsciously pronounced the word “mama.”
The overwhelming emotions of both the dog and her owner were evident as their eyes met once again after almost a month of separation.
A dog is a man’s best friend, and vice versa.
In a burst of pure elation, Liddie leaped into Kirstin’s waiting arms. The reunion was a reminder of the profound connection between humans and their beloved pets.
Kirstin held her precious pup tightly, cherishing the long-awaited moment of being able to hold her furry baby again.
Apart from being reunited with Kapp, Liddie also reunited with the rest of the family and her other dog siblings at home.
May Liddie and Kirstin’s bond remain unbreakable, and may their shared joy and love be a testament to the incredible bond between humans and their loyal companions.
