Dogs make awesome pets.

And what’s great about dogs is how unique they all are.

There are so many different shapes, sizes, and breeds that there really is a dog for everyone.

If you’re the type of person who likes their pets to be highly attention-seeking, then Weimaraners are the dog for you.

They are sweet, adorable, have lots of energy, and are always looking for a little attention.

According to The Weimaraner Club of America,

“It’s hard to generalize about the Weimaraner personality but a core trait, that runs in the veins of all of them, is that they are people–centric. They love the company of humans to the point that they will follow you around your house like a second shadow. Weimaraners are always underfoot, curious, wanting to be involved in your activities.”

So when one Weimaraner owner decides to play a little ignoring game with his dog, he gets a hilarious reaction.

The dog’s name is Gus and, true to his breed, he loves attention.

When his owner starts to ignore him, he immediately tries to do something about it.

Gus jumps up onto his owner’s lap, his hind legs still on the ground, and tries to stick his nose in the man’s face.

His owner just acts like he doesn’t even see Gus and this gets him going.

Gus looks like he is about to make some sort of noise before his owner finally looks his way.

This gets Gus exciting, thinking that he’s finally got his owner’s attention.

But then his owner looks away from Gus again.

Gus knows that he has to act fast in order to win back his owner’s attention.

So what does he do?

He raises a paw and rests it on his owner’s shoulder, of course.

When that doesn’t seem to work, Gus tries out a new tactic.

He tries to ignore his owner back.

Gus and his owner take turns looking at each other and then turning their heads away.

Unfortunately for Gus, his owner is much better at sticking to this game than he is.

Gus needs that attention, so he decides to step it up a notch.

Gus sticks his snout right into his owner’s face and lets out a good bark.

This seems to surprise his owner a bit as he snaps his head back and gives him a strong look.

Gus doesn’t seem to mind that he startled his owner, at least now he is looking at him.

However, his owner simply looks away from Gus again, leaving him wondering what he has to do to get a little attention in his own home.

Finally, the woman who is filming the entire situation chimes in.

She must be Gus’s mom because he seems happy to have some attention from her if his dad isn’t going to give him any.

He hops off of his owner’s lap and sits down at the foot of his other owner as she says, “Do you want food? Are you hungry? What do you want? Go get your dish.”

Of course, food is a good second to human attention, so he’ll have to settle for that.
