Man brings rescue cats home for wife but she swiftly becomes ‘3rd wheel’
"It's not fair, I'm the one feeding them, I give them their treats ... and they just want to go to cat dad."

Cats make life so much more interesting.

A quick glance at a cat will give you the impression that they’re standoffish and difficult to win over, but in reality, they happen to be among the sweetest.

Beyond the adorable physical appearance of cats lies colorful personalities and quirky mannerisms that’ll just about make anyone’s day.

Apart from being funny and irresistible, cats have quite a lot to offer.

For instance, did you know that they’re quite conscious of cleanliness? Cats are said to spend over a third of their waking hours grooming.

They don’t need to be litter-box trained, either! They know where to go when needed, thanks to the natural habit picked up from their wild cat ancestors.

Also, they love naps. They can sleep up to 18 hours a day!

That means no chasing them around and running yourself ragged throughout the day.

Cats are nothing short of impressive, really, even if it doesn’t seem that way on the outside.

Notice how well they make their way around the house and outdoors, effortlessly running across narrow, elevated surfaces?

That’s because their organ, the vestibular apparatus, works with their eyes and gives them an incredible sense of balance.

They’re quite alert, too, with hearing that can detect sounds as high as 65 kilohertz.

As pets, they happen to be the sweetest and funniest, too.

Not like you need further convincing, but here’s another story about cats to show you how much better life is with them around.

Bill is a certified cat dad. He wasn’t always one, though!

He had a pet dog growing up and never really considered adopting cats for himself.

His wife, Brittany, was the opposite.

She had pet cats when she was younger, so Bill took this as his cue to surprise her with two cats that were up for adoption.

Thanks to Bill, Frank and Cole now have a new home.

But despite Brittany being the cat lover in the family, surprisingly, the cats cling to Bill more!

Laughingly, Brittany shares how she became the “third wheel” in the situation.

She told GeoBeats Animals:

“They came as a bonded pair. They were a little apprehensive of Bill at first, and then they’ve just really gotten very close.”

Frank and Cole love their new home, but their love for Bill is something else.

Frank follows his cat dad everywhere, no matter how occupied Bill is.

“Frank loves to follow me around the house, whether it’s in the morning when I’m getting ready for work or when I come home from work, or at night.”

And the best part? Bill doesn’t mind at all.

Life has been happier and more colorful, thanks to Frank and Cole.

Perhaps Frank and Cole sensed that Bill wasn’t a cat guy to begin with, and they made it their mission to turn him into one.

It didn’t take long for them to succeed, judging from the way Bill lovingly carries the cat in his arms and lets them trail after him anytime they please.

Pets definitely make our lives better.

They can make our worst days more bearable, show us what loyalty and unconditional love really mean, and make us feel that we’re never alone.

Bill and Brittany adopted Frank and Cole to give them a loving home, but in reality, it was the two cats who showed them what the word home really means.
