If you think you can outsmart a cat, well, think again.

Redditor NyteMyre posted a video seven months ago. This video was also featured by Sunny Skyz Videos on YouTube a few days ago, where both garnered thousands of views.

At first, we see two men in the lower part of the video.

One of the guys hands something to the other. It looked like he had some brilliant idea, and he’s planning to do it soon.

Then, we see the man looking at the cat sitting on a trampoline. He smiles, proving that he was planning something.

He carefully sneaks behind the cat and positions himself on the side of the trampoline.

In this part of the video, we can guess what he was planning; he was planning to prank the cat.

This guy plans to jump on the trampoline so that cat would jump into the air.

He did.

However, the cat was faster, and before he could hit the trampoline, the cat had already left.

As for our prankster, well, as it turns out, there was a puddle of water underneath the trampoline.

So instead of him pranking the cat, he was the one who paid the price.

Everyone in the background laughed so hard.

There was a discussion in the Reddit thread about this prank. Most questions centered on why there was water underneath the trampoline and why is it on ground level.

Some of the comments explained that this was in the Netherlands, and they set up their trampolines differently there.

To set up an in-ground trampoline, you have to dig a hole.

Trampolines are set up like this is to prevent kids from falling to the ground.

The other question was all about the water inside the trampoline.

Many thought that there was a pool underneath, but according to those who have the same trampoline, they said that this usually happens when there are heavy rains.

When you hire someone to install your trampoline, they will check your soil first. Most of the garden soil will help the rainwater drain on its own after a few days.

If the location has clay or non-porous soil, then they might suggest installing a ‘soakaway’ to help drain the water.

In this case, it looks like the water hasn’t drained at all because the man stood up soaking wet.

What do you think about this type of trampoline? It does the job and it still looks so much fun.

On top of that, it looks like it’s safe for little kids.

Some of the people who watched it also pointed out that the neighbor had a similar setup.

They also have some pet chickens. How cool is that?

As for the cat, he was safe and dry.
