And who wouldn’t love watching this repeatedly? It’s so much fun to see how the turtles went crazy with Kyle’s popsicle. If you don’t have a pet turtle, this video is still entertaining to watch.
This might also encourage you to get one.
After all, pet turtles are relatively easier to feed. You can buy pellets, chunks, and sticks from pet stores, especially if they are a combination of vitamins and minerals. However, it is still best if you feed them fresh foods.
This can range from vegetables, flowers, greens, and protein.
Worms, snails, and smaller fish are good sources of proteins. Turtles also eat leafy vegetables such as kale, lettuce, spinach, or fruits such as strawberries, bananas, kiwi, and tomatoes. Flowers like dandelions, carnations, and geraniums are excellent food sources, too.
Turtles are also fed less as they grow older.
An adult turtle only needs to be fed three to five times a week.
Baby turtles need to be fed twice a day.
If you’re providing them with commercial turtle food, it’s best to let them eat as much as possible in 20 minutes and remove any leftovers to prevent them from overfeeding.
What they eat depends on which type of turtle you have: boxed turtles, aquatic turtles, and wood turtles, to name a few.
Kyle’s pet turtles are the water type.
Most aquatic turtles are omnivores (they eat both meat and plants), and his popsicle recipe is a perfect combination of both.
The recipe is simple. All you need are the following:
- Shad
- Strawberries
- Blueberries
- Pond water
If you want to make one, you just must slice all of them into small pieces.
Place them inside a popsicle mold.
Fill it with pond water, then close the popsicle mold with the cover and stick.
Freeze for at least four hours.
Then, it’s feeding time.
You can see how Kyle’s turtles love the popsicles he made. The moment he took them out, they were so eager that they swam out of the water.
At first, the turtles approached one at a time.
Then, as if hearing a rave review from the others, the rest of the turtles went to the surface to get a bite of their yummy treat.
He even managed to lure in two turtles at a time.
And one of the craziest scenes is when some turtles had to push or shove the others back to the water just to get a taste of that popsicle.
We hope no one got hurt there.
A feeding frenzy indeed.
All three popsicles that Kyle made were consumed in no time.
