Robert Brantley jumped out of his car to make sure a tiny kitten in the middle of the road didn’t get hurt.

He had it in his mind to rescue her and take her to safety.

But only her. Not the 12 other kittens that began to appear one after another.

Brantley started filming after he got out of the car to scoop the tiny kitten up.

“Oh, no! Oh, my gosh!” he yelled as four more kittens leaped out into the street.

Then yet another appeared.

“I can’t take you all,” he said to the tiny furry little faces around him.

Little did he know that double the number of kittens would soon appear.

They just kept coming out of a grassy area and gathered around his feet.

“We’ve got a kitten problem,” he says.

In fact, it was an all-out kitten ambush.

These kitties were not afraid of Brantley in the least bit. It’s almost as if they thought he was their new mama.

“Oh, my gosh. Who would do this?” Brantley could be heard saying on the video. “I thought I was saving one. Hot diggity dog!”

The poor guy didn’t know what to do. He just stood there for a minute surrounded by meows and fuzzy butts.

But Brantley wasn’t about to just leave these poor little babies all on their own. So, after the shock wore off, scooped up each and every one of those kittens.

He put them in the back seat of his Honda where they all squealed and squiggled around in his back seat.

Then he brought them home and bathed, gently brushed, and fed each one of them. Brantley took care of all 13 kitties.

Brantley ended up putting that video on social media where it went viral. That’s when an outpouring of support arrived.

Many in the community started making donations to help Brantley and his wife Courtney take care of all the kittens.

“They are playing, we’ve got all sorts of toys for them and they have taken over the house,” Brantley said. “Today, I think we saw we had 35 Amazon packages come in for these cats.”

They also received financial donations so that Brantley could take all the kittens to the vet.

Thankfully, all of the kitties were found to be in good health after a visit to the vet.

Brantley says that any remaining funds will be donated to the local shelter. The Brantleys took care of all of the kittens until they were old enough to be put up for adoption.

Brantley sent them to their new forever homes with “goody bags.” Brantley said he will be keeping three of the kittens to join his family.

Brantley believes that the kittens were intentionally dumped there. He even thinks that he even saw the car that dumped them.

“It’s amazing that not only people saw it to begin with, but took the time to reach out and thank me and all that, but there’s no need to thank me. I don’t know anybody who wouldn’t have done that, I don’t know who could leave them or pass them up after seeing them,” Brantley said.
