When Tonka the malamute began to get a bit smelly, his owner knew that bath time could no longer be put off. And hilariously, Tonka gave his owner the perfect excuse for giving him a bath, after he decided to jump in the swimming pool.
But is the 5-year-old pup happy about the idea of taking a bath? Absolutely not!
In fact, the funny pup’s reaction to having a bath was so hilarious that his owners decided to share it on YouTube for everyone to see. Unsurprisingly, since the video was uploaded onto Tonka the Malamute AKA WaterWolf, it has been viewed by over 3.9 million people all over the world, and now has thousands of likes and comments.
Tonka’s owner captioned the video: “Tonka LOVES the water but only on his terms……lol. He is not a fan of bath time! He was starting to smell like dirty Fritos so I took advantage of him jumping in the pool.”
But one person who doesn’t understand why he has to have a bath is Tonka. And when all is said and done, he simply can’t help sulking to show his owner just how unhappy he is with her.
“Tonka, are you ignoring me?” Tonka’s mom says, as the sassy pup turns his head in the other direction. “You needed a bath – you were dirty, and you jumped in the pool.”
At that, Tonka lets out a huge howl of frustration. Why can’t she understand just how horrid baths are?
“Look at me,” Tonka’s owner says. “You have to have baths sometime. When you get dirty and you smell like dirty Fritos, and you jump in the pool, you have to have a bath.”
But despite her reasoning, Tonka still refuses to listen. He continues to stare in the other direction, and ever so often he even gives a howl to show how much he disagrees with his owner.
The conversation continues like this for a few minutes, before Tonka decides that his patience has been worn thin. In a hilarious move, the sassy pup abruptly stands up and walks out of the room, signaling that he definitely doesn’t want to talk about it anymore.
