The following is a love story for the birds…literally!
Meet the four cutest Pacific Parrotlet birds you’ve ever seen! Winter, Sprig, River and Rain come in at around 4 inches tall, but they have just as much personality packed into those tiny bodies as their chatty Amazon cousins.
The adorable feathered creatures live with their bird mom, Rupa Sutton. She never knew the impact that these little guys would have on her life. She’s been using her camera to capture the birds’ big personalities and the series of photos have developed to tell a love story as old as time.
Sutton says:
“Observing and interacting with them has brought so much joy and laughter into my life. I’m captivated by their beauty, their intelligence and their sweetness.”
She also mentions that the birds have quickly become her favorite subjects to photograph, and it’s no wonder! The birds’ beautiful pastel coloring makes for strikingly gorgeous photo nearly every time.
“They’ve quickly become one of my favorite subjects to photograph.”
As you can see from the images, Winter, Sprig, River and Rain are all big on cuddling!
The birds have very big personalities. They’re somewhat mischievous, but spend a lot of their time preening one another and showing the others how much they love them.
They truly are incredibly sweet!
Sutton reveals that she uses a macro lens to capture the beauty of her precious birds. This allows her to focus in on the details of the birds that would otherwise go unnoticed unless you were examining them in person.
“Viewing them through a macro lens reveals so many details that might have otherwise gone unseen… the tiny eyelashes, their little tongues, the perfection of their colorful feathers.”
The photos she captures are works of art!
And the birds’ bond with each other is so heartwarming! These little cuties will definitely have you saying “awww.”
