When it comes to animals, cats are in a league of their own. They’re independent, comical, and sometimes, illogical. Often, we wish we could get inside of their heads to better understand their thought process. But if we did that, we’d probably be more confused than ever. Here are 35 cats with unique logic.
1. Don’t knock it until you try it
Who knows, lying sprawled out on a cool floor while munching down on dinner might be the best new trend. This guy could be onto something. We’re just saying.
2. The perfect ingredient
Two cups of flour, one cup of sugar, one teaspoon of salt, a half teaspoon of vanilla, two eggs, a half a stick of butter, and a large white kitty and you end up with…well…we’re not sure but we bet it’s yummy.
Perhaps this sweet girl was dropped on her head as a kitten. If not, it’s hard to explain why she thinks this is right. Unless she’s just a goofball.
If you own a cat, you know how much they love drinking out of faucets. From the looks of it, this guy got bored and decided to try something new. He just hasn’t gotten the hang of it yet.
After being scolded by its owner for sitting on the computer keyboard, this cat was more than happy to obey. We bet he’s a teenager…so rebellious.
The best way to waste money is to buy your cat a beautiful new bed. As this kitty shows, the box is a much better gift.
7. What, you don’t like it?
Experts explain that to show love and loyalty to their humans, cats bring them gifts. Usually, it’s something like a dead bird or mouse. But this kitty had something much better in mind. He looks so proud.
Why do cats always have to make things so difficult? Instead of sipping water out of an accessible bowl, this kitty preferred a challenge.
9. They love their new beds
Once in a blue moon, a cat, or in this case, two cats, do like beds. But even then, they can’t seem to get their sleeping arrangements quite right.
We know cats are quirky but really? Let’s just chalk this up to the kitty being a free spirit. With a name like Mr. Stabbers, he can do whatever he wants.
As a human, that looks incredibly uncomfortable. But according to this cat, it’s the only way to rest. Maybe he’s onto something.
This poor kitty just wants to play with the balloon. But he doesn’t realize the minute he leaps, it’ll float away. Perhaps he’ll figure it out after he crashes to the floor. Probably not.
If a cat has a choice between a comfy bed and a box, the box will always win…hands down. On a positive note — that box is a perfect size and for privacy, this kitty can just close the flaps.
14. “Mine isn’t good enough”
This cat is well taken care of. She has her own bowl for both food and water. But no, that’s not good enough. She prefers to eat the dog food…even if it means standing on her tippy toes.
Another thing that cats are famous for…pushing things off tables, countertops, dressers…you name it. They just like watching things fall to the floor. This kitty is no different.
If you look carefully, it almost looks as though this cat plopped down on his bed in a way that mocks his owner. “Yeah, buy me a bed and even it’ll laugh at you.”
Ah…this person bought a cute little house only to discover it came with a cat. Or is this just another case of a kitty preferring the box over the bed? Either way, Mr. White is simply adorable.
We thought cats only disliked beds and houses. But now we learn they also don’t care for tunnels. That was a big waste of $50.
It looks like this cat is guarding its owner’s shoes. But we’re pretty sure the owner just bought it a new bed but there wasn’t a box nearby. So, this kitty had to compromise.
20. You can sleep in my boot any time
As cute as this kitten is, we bet its owners don’t care where it decides to nap. Okay, so a boot isn’t the most logical spot but in the big scheme of things does it really matter?
There’s no question what this kitty is up to. But if she could talk, we’re pretty sure she’d say she was just helping decorate the tree. It’s the holidays. So, she gets a free pass.
22. Who needs an animal trap
If your cat got out and you’re having a hard time catching it, you don’t need a traditional trap. Nope…just make a circle out of tape. It works every time.
You know the saying, “Curiosity killed the cat?” Since this isn’t a dire situation, this fellow probably only lost six months. I wonder how long this poor guy was stuck like that?
When a cat wants attention, they’ll do whatever it takes to accomplish the goal. If that means sitting on their owner’s face, then so be it.
25. Overcoming the impossible
Why in the world would three cats want to get in a perfect line to eat when they can do…whatever this is. This is what you call an intimate dinner.
Who needs a box when you have a dog? This sweet kitty must have a close relationship with this pup. It might not make sense but it’s sure sweet.
This cat is either mad because it doesn’t like the beds its owner bought or because there’s no box in sight. How rude. Show some gratitude kitty.
First, we’re not sure what this cat is doing. Second, how is he doing whatever it is he’s doing? Maybe this is one of those optical illusions or perhaps its owner is a magician making him levitate…upside down.
According to this kitty’s owner, she’s terrified of the vacuum cleaner. So, whenever it comes out, the cat hides. Yep…no one will find her there. She’s completely hidden.
30. You’ll always have company
If you’re thinking of getting a cat, just remember, you’ll never have privacy in the bathroom again. You could do what this owner did…shut the door. But as you can see, that didn’t help much.
This cat’s logic is, well, way off base. He thinks if he hides behind the curtain, his owner can’t see him. Oh, you silly boy.
Someone’s been eating too much. We get it, with everyone at home right now, including cats, it’s hard not to overindulge. But next time, try using the real door.
For this cat, one bed was too small and one too big. But hey, by stretching across the two, it’s perfect. We believe the big bed would’ve worked just fine but then again, we don’t think like a cat.
Darn, that was a perfectly good slice. This cat probably thinks he’s doing his owner a favor by keeping the food warm. But somehow, pizza topped with kitty hair doesn’t sound very appetizing.
This cat’s just being a show-off, with its balancing skills and all. But we agree that’s pretty cool.

As an “only child,” this\ owner found a way to keep her kitten entertained. Put him in the middle of a rug and surround him with stuffed animals. To this kitty, it all makes perfect sense.
It looks as though this kitty has some kind of fixation on plastic fruit. Whatever floats your boat. The funny thing — this cat’s name is “Tomato.”
Maybe this cat thinks if he brings his owner all the socks in the house, he’ll get some extra treats. It’s a good plan and being so cute, we hope it worked.
This cat refuses to sleep in a plush $30 bed. Even worse, he prefers a $2 dustpan. Maybe it’s just that blue is his favorite color.
42. Wouldn’t expect anything less
The only thing this dog wants is to enjoy his bed. But the cat’s not having it. What’s the deal? Cat’s don’t even like beds…they’re more into boxes.
