According to Mom’s Cove, dogs understand how humans feel and can highly adapt to them, enabling them to respond to our emotional needs accordingly. With the child’s innocence and unthreatening presence, dogs often treat them the same way they treat helpless puppies. This is one of the reasons why dogs can create a strong friendship with our babies.

Plenty of parents show how their dogs interact with their babies in cute videos.

A Newfoundland dog named Sebastian is a large dog with a shiny black coat currently living with a small but loving family. In this video, the dog was playing with a toddler named Sierra in their living room.

Sebastian has always been little Sierra’s best friend, and you can find them cuddling together when they’re done playing hide-and-seek in the house. Most importantly, Sebastian always makes sure that Sierra is safe.

One day, Sierra found a fun activity to do with Sebastian.

Sierra just recently learned how to hula-hoop and she wanted to share the knowledge with her best friend.

One day, she grabbed a pair of hula-hoops and gave one to Sebastian. Sierra wanted him to hula-hoop with her, and so she decided to teach the black pooch how to play with it; she even assured Sebastian that it is going to be fun.

The dog, however, just stood back and dropped the ring on the floor.

Sierra, on the other hand, was still determined to teach her friend. She then vigorously rotated her hips to keep the hula-hoop spinning all while constantly telling Sebastian to watch her. Unfortunately, the big pooch just does not get it. He just stood there and watched Sierra until she was done playing with her hula-hoop.

Newfoundland dogs are known to be caring and patient dogs and Sebastian proved that in this video. Even though Sebastian couldn’t play with his friend, he stayed with Sierra until she finished playing.

After hula-hooping, Sierra approached the dog and gave him pets as she understood that Sebastian couldn’t do it. Sebastian responded to Sierra’s kindness in return by gently licking her tiny arms. Their adorable interaction was just heart-melting.

The wholesome clip instantly went viral on the internet.
