Dogs really do have the kindest hearts, and we’re certain that they’d do anything for their owners.
We’ve read many stories of dogs going out of their way to do kind gestures for their humans, and this next story is one of the sweetest of them all. When a dog who lived with his elderly owner noticed that she was having some difficulty getting around, he did the loveliest thing to help her out.
The elderly lady found that her wheelchair often became caught in a couple of carpet rugs, but her sweet little pooch was straight to the rescue. The compassionate pup would jump into action and move the rugs out of the way whenever the woman entered the room, making it much easier for her to move around the house. What a little hero!
Ana Clara Simoes’ 86-year-old grandmother has a special bond with her dog Lili.
Not only are the pair the best of friends, but Lili also helps to care for Grandma whenever she needs help. She makes sure that her owner has no trouble getting around the home that they share together, by going out of her way to make things as easy as possible.
“It certainly makes her very happy. Lili is a great companion,” Ana told The Dodo. “My grandmother is doing well. I am very happy to know that she has Lili there.”
The clever little pup would drag away a pair of carpet mats, making it easier for Grandma to get across the room.
“Lili learned to do it herself,” Ana explained. “We were all very surprised and admire her for it.” She added: “At first we thought it was a coincidence, but we realized that it only happened when my grandmother was going to pass through. It’s an act of care.”

The video shows little Lili literally running through the front door to grab hold of the mat and pull it away before Grandma comes through. Ana explained that her Grandma is diabetic and has recently had to have her leg amputated, so Lili was going above and beyond to make sure that his beloved owner was getting along okay. How adorable!
Apparently, Grandma’s other dog, Lara, has also moved the mats a couple of times.
Although none of the sweet pups have figured out how to put the rugs back yet, we’d argue that they’re already going above and beyond to help their beloved owner. There’s a special place in heaven reserved for these sweet pups.
