Our pets can be quite clingy towards us, and they often don’t want us directing our attention towards someone other than them. Since we can’t avoid leaving their side to do something else, they’d start to do something that’ll get your attention back to them. This little dog is no exception.
This is what happens with your dogs after you get yourself into a relationship.
If you’re gonna date a dog-owner, you’d also be dating the dog as well. However, there may be instances where the pooch starts getting between you two out of jealousy. If you think that’s going to fade away after marriage then that’s where you’re wrong.
Apparently, a married couple has one particular little dog who has developed some kind of possessiveness towards the husband. Even though the couple raised the dog together since she was a pup, they never expected that only one would get the special treatment.
Their names are Alicia and Nathan McNeese, and they both have a chihuahua named Bristol. The little dog developed an affection for Nathan from the minute she met him, and since then, it’s been all about him.
In fact, oftentimes, Alicia can’t even get time of her own with her husband.
“Her go-to person is my husband,” Alicia shared with The Dodo. “The bond that they have is incredible.”
Bristol is transparent when it comes to showing her love for his dad
Bristol lets her connection with Nathan be known by basically never leaving his side. The little dog snuggles up on her dad’s shoulder, follows him around like a sheep, and is even the little spoon when they go to bed!
Hilariously, she often takes Alicia’s space in bed, although she is too small to take up too much space. In the end, Alicia could still scooch herself in.
At some point, she’s trying to make her mom jealous of them.
Bristol has a cheeky way of claiming Nathan as her own. Whenever Alicia attempts to give her husband some attention, Bristol will race up to them and interrupts. She doesn’t want to be bested by her mom. Alicia managed to capture one hilarious moment on camera, and she shared it onto her TikTok account for everyone to see. In the video, Alicia begins by resting her head affectionately onto Nathan’s shoulder.
But as she lifts up her head, another little face comes into view behind her. It’s Bristol, and the pup isn’t loving how Alicia ‘steals’ away some of Nathan’s attention.
You could see how Bristol gives her mom the sassiest look and then claims her rightful place in Nathan’s shoulder with her mom witnessing the whole thing. It is clear that Bristol wants her mom to be jealous of them.
The video received quite a lot of attention on social media
With the caption “Our dog loves my husband,” Alicia was certainly surprised on how such simple clip managed to rack up hundred thousands of hearts on TikTok.
Explaining what happened in the video, Alicia said,
“At first, my head was resting on my husband’s shoulder. When I lifted my head she replaced it with hers.” She added, “I think she was thinking, ‘He’s my human. Move on over, Mom.”
When asked about her relationship with Bristol, she hilariously said,
“She is sweet…when she wants to be.”
And as for her husband Nathan? Apparently he “soaks it all up.” We bet he does!
