We are used to befriending pets like cats and dogs and we have a fairly good expectation of how they will respond to us. These pets are domesticated animals anyway and are definitely used to interacting with humans.
But, when it comes to animals in the wild, we are at a loss on how they will react when we try to reach out and show them some attention. Take a deer, for example. If you try to get near a deer and befriend one at this moment, do you know exactly how they will respond?
Deers are wild animals and they are most likely afraid of interacting with humans. We see them around America, usually frolicking in the woods and sometimes reaching neighborhoods near forests. However, human interaction is something that we rarely witness these animals do.
Now, imagine a little kid getting near a baby deer. How will this encounter end?
One little boy was caught on camera as he tried to get near the fawn who was roaming around their neighborhood. Actually, the toddler seems to be more interested in grabbing the green watering bucket beside the little deer, but somehow he ended up getting a close meeting with the wild animal.
At first, the young deer was only watching the tiny human as he approached her.
The toddler reached for the green watering bucket and before he can really grab it, the baby deer instantly reaches out and gave the boy a sweet kiss!
The little guy was taken aback by the sudden lick from the fawn that he took a few steps away from the animal. He was not able to get the bucket, but he was not ready to give up just yet.
He reluctantly held onto his ear that was just licked and proceeded to get closer to the fawn once more to get the bucket.
He held the baby deer’s face in his teeny tiny hands, trying to stop her from licking him again. The boy is truly trying his best to get hold of the bucket, but the deer just wouldn’t let him.
“Whoah!”
These two babies make the most hilarious duo!
Now, the toddler is really intent on taking the bucket that he just let the sweet deer lick his ears as he picked it up. What a sweet encounter indeed! Finally, the boy held and lifted the bucket! Only to let it go because – you guessed it – the deer was just licking him non-stop. She seems to be really fond of the little boy!
“Naughty!”
We may not be used to seeing deers and children being this sweet to each other, but we can’t deny that this friendly encounter is a breath of fresh air. It is unusual and really cute, leaving us all in awe of the possibilities of interacting with wild animals out there. Although it is not generally safe to just interact with wild deers like this young one, at least this adorable clip proved that it is not impossible to befriend them.
