When most people think of cats, they think of independent loners; felines that rule the roost and have no use for you once their food has been delivered. While this is a pretty common misconception, any cat owner can tell you that cats definitely show affection in their own way. Whether it be rubbing their faces against you, or head-bumping every chance they get— cats have no problems letting their owners know exactly how they feel.

In this video, an adorable ginger cat named Daisy lets her humans know that she needs some love!

Published to YouTube in July of 2014, the 50-second-clip shows Daisy’s hilarious demands for comfort and snuggles. The video starts with a closeup shot of Daisy and her Daddy, as her mom who films, tells the audience: “Daisy has to be held or else she makes noise.”

Dad puts the fluffy kitten down on the bed, and sure enough, a loud meow starts to fill the room. This little diva isn’t impressed by their shenanigans. She wants cuddles, and she wants them now.

But Dad and Mom haven’t quite their made point yet. For the next few seconds, Dad alternates between touching the kitten and removing his hands. And, as Daisy’s mom explained, every time she stops being touched, she meows and yells, once again demanding to be picked back up.

The video is hilarious. As the man cups and uncups Daisy with his hand, hers meows sound like well-timed kitty symphony. This little diva has no time for silly games. She just wants you to wrap her up and show her you care.

It’s clear by the humans’ reactions, that despite Daisy’s bossy attitude, they’re very happy to have the kitten in their life. They have no problem giving in to her demands, seeing humor and love in each of her tiny requests.

Kittens like snuggling for a number of reasons, reports The Nest. But mainly they do it for warmth and safety, companionship and bonding, and attention. As they explain, “Cats not only enjoy the comfort of their owners, but also the attention they get when they spend time tucked in your lap.”

It looks like Little Daisy has caught on that snuggle time equals cuddles and love. It must be tough on Mom and Dad though— after watching this video, I know you’d give Daisy anything she asked for too!
