Most people think that cats and dogs can’t be friends, but that isn’t necessarily the case.

If you need further proof of that, just check out Rosie the cat and Lilo the husky.

Despite being very different, these two are close as peas in a pod.

In Lilo’s “pack” is one creature that may look slightly different than the rest – but don’t let that fool you.

They’re really best buds!

Rosie’s a cat keeping up with her canine siblings.

While you might not think of a cat as being part of a group of huskies, Rosie fits right in with hers.

Together, they live exciting lives full of outdoor activities and road trips – enjoying everything from lakes, to mountains, to kayaks.

Really, how many cats can you say do that?

She was a teeny kitten when they rescued her off the streets.

Rosie was only two weeks old when the Bui sisters first brought her into their home.

Sadly though, she wasn’t healthy in the beginning.

They struggled to get Rosie to eat and she became weaker as the hours went on.

According to the website “Rosie & the Huskies,” it seemed like she might “not make it.”

But then they decided to try something different… They let Rosie lay and cuddle with Lilo.

One of the pet moms shared on Instagram:

“By some miracle, she started suckling on Lilo and Lilo went full “mom mode”. Even stimulating it to go to the bathroom..😦 (This was very shocking to me). Since then, Rosie’s been getting much better and her eyes opened!”

On the second night, they captured the most adorable footage of Lilo and her new best friend Rosie. Rosie began adjusting to her new life with huskies.

One day, the family decided to take Rosie on her first leashed adventure, which was to the park!

Luckily, she had Lilo by her side every step of the way.

It was only the beginning of their journey together.

Rosie began joining the pack during other outdoor adventures too – and from the looks of it, she became a real wilderness girl.

There doesn’t appear to be a dull moment in this loving household.

They go walking, swimming, hiking, canoeing and so much more.

Sometimes, it almost seems like Rosie really is a husky!

Photos and videos of the group are shared on the family’s social media pages called “Lilo the Husky.”

By no surprise, they’ve gathered a lot of followers with more than 477K on Instagram alone!

It’s sweet to see all of the pets together as friends, but especially best-buds Lilo and Rosie.

However, their owners also know that a cat and husky relationship isn’t always going to work.

According to The Dodo, they warned on Instagram:

“Huskies are notorious for their intense prey drive!! So please please don’t run out and get a kitten (or a husky) expecting them to be best friends.”

Rosie hit the jackpot the day she was rescued by her big-hearted humans (who rescue other kitties too), then saved by Lilo the husky.

It beautifully says on their website:

“If everyone loved the way Lilo & Rosie did, there would be no evil in this world.”

Rosie and Lilo are a sweet pair who clearly love each other a lot.

It’s great that they’re getting to grow up together!
