True best friends are inseparable. Even if you try to keep them apart, you will never succeed. They will always find their way back.
We all know this type of special bond all too well. Whether we are thinking of someone who is currently in our lives or someone who we were close with back in pre-school. We all have that special friend who makes us laugh and makes us feel like we can be our true selves and have fun.
Believe it or not, these special connections also exist in animal lives, too!
Cats, dogs, and pretty much any other pet can have a special connection with a fellow pet. It’s a type of love that isn’t just communicated through words, after all!
This cat and dog are a perfect example of this.
In the cutest video to ever exist, we see this kitten and puppy laying side by side except there is one problem: they are in separate cages.
This kitty is not having it at all, so she decides that she is going to make a run for it. Like, she isn’t even going to try to hide it — she is going to climb right over the cage. After all, she sees her best friend over there and she is not about to let her doggy friend just hang out alone.
Luckily, cats are really good at jumping and climbing. We see this skill be put to work especially well in this clip.
The pup is actually sleeping when the video starts at first. It seems like he doesn’t even have any idea that his little furry friend is trying to make her way over to him. But then she starts to climb to the top of her cage. When the dog becomes aware of what she’s doing, he rolls over and jolts awake.
The dog went from sleepy to awake so fast.
Now, all of a sudden, the kitten was on the top of her side of the cage while the dog was standing on his two back legs in his cage. We all know that, unfortunately, dogs aren’t as good at climbing and jumping as cats. So the dog couldn’t really get over to the other side to help the cat.
However, he was doing a great job at offering her some much-needed moral support.
The cat struggled a little bit at the beginning. She was determined, but she was still a little bit hesitant at moments.
One thing was for sure though: she was going to make it over. She didn’t just come this far for nothing!
Lots of scratching and meowing later and the cat finally did it. She made the climb. As she slowly made her way down from the top of her friend’s cage, he continued to cheer her on. The pup ran around excitedly in circles, he was clearly beside himself.
“Ah, my best friend is finally here!” the dog obviously thought to himself.
Kitty stuck the landing and finally, these best friends were reunited. Not even a cage could keep them apart.
They both ran around excitedly in circles as they greeted each other. Nothing but pure happiness in their expressions. We love to see it!
