Look for any show, be it a cartoon or a movie, that has cats and dogs in it.

Chances are they’ll be chasing and fighting each other. From real life chases, to the more cartoonish with weapons, and things breaking, and other slapstick moments. It may hold true for some households. It really all depends on how the animals are trained.

But then there’s always a few exceptions.

There are known instances of big dogs instantly warming up to newly adopted kittens. Some cats are snuggle buddies with their dog friends. It is always concerning for the humans to see as the classic rivalry plays in the back of our heads. After all, there’s no way of telling how a cat or dog may react when confronted with the opposite.

But then there’s these two.

This is Beck the German Shepherd and he has every reason to look confused.

When his family brought home a kitten by the name of Bleu, Beck was understandably hesitant to get to know this new small addition to his family.

Beck would keep his distance while the kitten would play around and he would sit by his parents as Bleu slept.

Beck wasn’t too happy when Bleu arrived.

But at least Beck wasn’t hostile. He never attacked or provoked the little guy. He’s a good boy.

All it took was a little coaxing and assurance from their parents. And of course easing them bit by bit to interact with each other.

That’s when Beck realized that Bleu was just playful and all he wanted was to have fun.

All Beck had to do was get used to Bleu being around.

It started off with the big German Shepherd just watching the little kitten roam around. And now Bleu gets to pounce on him, playing with his ears and snout. Looks like Bleu made a new friend! Beck doesn’t even mind anymore.

He lets Bleu get away with invading his personal space and even follows him around.

From the indoors to outside, these two became inseparable.

Beck and Bleu would chase each other then explore the outdoors together. When Bleu would paw at Beck’s nose, he would seemingly nudge at his little friend and sniff him.

They get along so well that they just share everything in the house now.

From playtime to cuddles and anything in between.

They would always do it all together. And as Bleu grew up, Beck was always around. Beck understood his friend’s antics and would always play along. When Bleu wanted warmth and cuddles, Beck was there. He’s the perfect size too.

And for Bleu’s crazy antics, Beck would always be gentle and understanding. He balances out his energetic friend. you can bet they’re protective of each other too.

Best friends are loyal to each other like that.

They scratch each other’s backs in every situation.

Their owners must have unlimited amounts of energy just having to keep up with these two. Imagine the mischief and the mess everyday.

But then again I’m sure they’re up for it. Besides, Beck and Bleu are too cute and fun to watch! Who would have thouth that a German Shepherd and a Ginger would become so inseparable?
