Kittens are adorable little animals who sometimes don’t know their own strength. That was the case with an eight-month-old kitten in Indonesia. While her owner, Haryanto Pherwhirra Ramadhani, was out, she destroyed his earphone cable.
Haryanto was naturally upset when he saw what his kitten had done.
“I was really angry to see my earphones destroyed,” he told Bored Panda.
Haryanto scolded the kitten, and she ran away. Haryanto thought she was just taking some time alone to think about her actions, but it turned out she had a different plan in mind. The little kitten realized her owner was upset because she destroyed a long, skinny cable. And so, she set out to find a replacement cable.
The kitten returned about an hour later with a replacement for the cable: a snake!
The kitten dropped the snake at Haryanto’s feet and waited for him to praise her. Haryanto was shocked by this gift.
“I was so shocked to see it return with a snake,” Haryanto said. “Snakes are very rare in our area.”
Haryanto was very amused by the kitten’s replacement for his cable. He shared a photo of his kitten’s present to Kami Pecinta Kucing, a Facebook page for Indonesian cat lovers. The photo quickly went viral, receiving more than 10,000 likes. Everyone loved seeing how much the kitten cared for her owner!
The little viral kitten has gone on some fun adventures since achieving internet fame.
The kitten loves playing in the forest behind her house. She also enjoys hanging out with the other kittens in her neighborhood.
This kitten isn’t the first cat who has been left confused by a snake.
In 2018, another story about a cat and a snake went viral. This story was about a cat named TJ who went to see the vet at the Metro Animal Emergency Clinic in Canada. While TJ was there, someone brought their snake in.
When TJ saw the snake, he made the most hilarious facial expression. We can’t blame TJ—we’re also shocked by how gigantic this snake is!
“TJ is a very happy friendly cat,” TJ’s owner, Lindsay McKenzie told Metro. “But he had no idea what to think of the snake.”
As these two stories show, cats and snakes always get into strange antics when they see each other. We’re glad that Haryanto appreciated his kitten’s present—after all, it’s the thought that counts!
