Golden Retrievers are clever and loyal dogs who often love helping those in need. And one Golden Retriever is the perfect example of this.
This sweet pup saw a sickly kitten in need and immediately went to help.
It is unclear where the Golden Retriever found the stray kitten, but the kitten was sure not in a safe place. The kitten is tiny with already matted fur.
The Golden Retriever must have known the kitten would not survive on its own, in the condition it was in.
So, the Golden Retriever grabbed the stray kitten by its teeth and ran home to safety.
The beginning of the video is nerve-wracking to watch.
While the amazing Golden Retriever knows he is doing the right thing, watching the small and frail kitten bounce around in its mouth is hard to watch.
The viewers are hoping for a happy ending because the Golden Retriever looks like a dog on a mission!
The Golden Retriever runs straight into its house with the weak kitten. The dog drops the small kitten right onto a soft blanket. The dog knows the life of the kitten is out of his control now, he is hoping his owner will finish saving the kitten’s life.
That is exactly what happens, this owner is just as sweet as the dog!
The dog’s owner starts to bottle feed the kitten and that is one hungry kitten!
The kitten cannot get enough of the bottle and is drinking down the bottle quickly. This kitten does not care how messy it is getting, it is going to drink every last drop of the bottle.
The kitten’s first hero, the Golden Retriever, is staying close though. The Golden Retriever is right next to the stray kitten as it eats, he is not leaving the kitten’s side.
After the stray kitten is properly fed, it is time for cuddles! The kitten is kept warm by the Golden Retriever’s fur, as they are cuddled up close.
These two have bonded completely.
This dog is making sure the kitten is always safe and happy from now on. The kitten has found itself a new mama bear, or mama dog!
At the end of the video, the kitten is trying to walk on its little legs and the Golden Retriever is still keeping a close eye! The dog is right next to the kitten making sure that it does not fall over on the small step.
The video showing the heroic act by the Golden Retriever and its owner quickly went viral.
