Rosalie, the experienced Golden Retriever mama, has mastered the art of motherhood.

With her fourth and final litter of puppies, she was determined to raise the most well-behaved and calm pups yet. Residing in Deutsch Haslau, Austria, Rosalie shares her home with her dedicated breeders, Christopher and Melanie. In late 2018, she gave birth to a litter of seven adorable and energetic puppies.

Rosalie had reached a point where she wanted to encourage her puppies to be more independent and start the weaning process.

However, her primary goal was to teach them proper behavior and instill a sense of calmness. As Rosalie approached the safety gate to enter the room where her puppies were playing, they immediately flocked to her side in a frenzy of excitement. They were overjoyed to see their mom, competing for her attention and climbing over one another.

Undeterred by the chaos, Rosalie was determined to establish order.

As the gate opened and she entered, the puppies swarmed around her, making it difficult for her to maneuver. With determination, she pushed through the fluffy mayhem, ignoring their desperate pleas for attention. Although her actions may seem callous, Rosalie’s purpose was clear—to provide care and supervision while also teaching her pups independence.

When the puppies realized they weren’t going to receive immediate affection, they attempted to nurse from their mom.

But Rosalie was having none of it. It was time for some tough love. She began growling, signaling to her offspring that they needed to learn independence and not rely on her constantly. The puppies seemed unfazed by the growling, but when Rosalie barked, they understood it was time to back off.

Her bark commanded their attention, and they fell in line, behaving well in response.

One viewer humorously commented, “The moment she barked, I got up from bed and prepared for school…” Rosalie’s fierce but loving demeanor ensured that her puppies understood her boundaries. With a snarl and another bark, she established order and gained their obedience.

Amidst the training session, Rosalie occasionally glanced at the camera, seemingly apologetic for the spectacle.

Viewers found her sheepish look endearing, observing how she conveyed a sense of regret. It was evident that Rosalie cared for her puppies deeply and wanted the best for them, even if it meant employing strict discipline.

As the puppies settled down, they all laid still, not a bark or whine to be heard.

They sought guidance from their mother, eager to please her and follow her lead. One brave puppy attempted to nurse again, but quickly realized that it was not the right moment. Rosalie’s growls had achieved their desired effect—calming the entire litter and maintaining order.

Rosalie’s exceptional mothering skills were truly impressive.

She had managed to transform a chaotic scene into one of tranquility. Each puppy obediently lay down, demonstrating their understanding of their mother’s expectations.

With the lesson in dog parenting captured on video, it’s no surprise that it has already garnered over 58 million views. Rosalie’s ability to command respect and instill calmness in her puppies is a testament to her wisdom and experience as a devoted dog mama.
