I've never seen anything look so cute and creepy at the same time!

Those taking a stroll through the neighborhood of St. Neots, Cambridgeshire might notice that someone’s got an eye on them.

Well, technically it’s four someones.

And those someones are a pack of local huskies who love to watch passersby.

Their silly spy post has become quite the attraction. When you walk by Andy Grannel’s wooden gate you find four sets of eyes and four snouts peeking out and protruding from holes cut into the gate.

“Initially when we bought the house, there were no gates – but we needed gates there because of the dogs,” Grannel, who moved into the house with his fiancee Maxine Adamson in 2014, said. “We had the big gates put in, but then we noticed that the dogs would poke their noses out the gap at the bottom of the gates, to try and catch a glimpse outside.”

Since Grannel’s dog are very “nosey and inquisitive” he figured he would make it easier for them to see what’s going on outside the gates when they hear noise.

So, he cut eight eye holes and four nose holes into the gate so they could see outside and still be comfortable.

“So I thought, rather than making them crick their necks to peer under the gates, I thought it would be quite nice for them to be able to look out from their normal heights,” Grannel said.

Grannel actually has five huskies: 12-year-olds Amber, Topaz, and Talon and 3-year-olds Rocky and Vinnie.

But since Amber is going deaf she doesn’t usually run to the gate like the other doggos do when they hear noise.

The four dogs get quite the reaction from people who pass by and they absolutely love it.

“I think quite a lot of people recognize them because I’m often seen walking around St Neots with them all strapped to my waist – which is quite an unusual sight,” Grannel said. “I like seeing the posts appear on Facebook from people who have spotted my dogs peering out through the gates.”

Some people have reported waiting years to see the dogs at their post, others say they see them daily. Either way, these huskies are a source of great joy for many locals.

“I see these dogs pretty much every time I walk into town. Normally they just have their little eye holes and nose holes in the fence but this time they had these masks. I tend to just make a little kissy noise and they assume their positions – it’s great and makes my day,” said one passerby who posted a video of her encounter with the huskies on YouTube.

The gate initially just had plain simple holes in the fence.

However, Grannel has since installed gargoyle-like masks over the holes so the dogs look like fiendish little devils peering at you from a black gate.

It creates quite a giggle storm for people passing by. Check out these silly dogs in the video below.
