Did you ever notice that dogs sometimes act like small children?
For instance, sometimes, a toddler will refuse a nap even if it really would be good for them. And it turns out, dogs sometimes display the same behavior.
In this video, you’ll watch an owner try to get his full-grown husky, Blaze, to go into the kennel.
If you thought this husky would be obedient because he’s fully grown, you’re dead wrong. Watch as the husky tries everything from being limp to pleading in order to get out of kennel time.
One of the funniest things about the video is how vocal the husky is.
He lets out lots of cute noises of protest throughout the video. And then, near the end, he makes a sound that distinctly sounds like the word ‘no.’ His owner can’t help laughing when he hears it.
The video ends with Blaze still out of his kennel and enjoying his freedom. If we had to guess, we’d say Blaze’s owner gave up and let the pup take his nap outside that day.
So, why are huskies so vocal?
According to Spirit Dog Guides, the huskies are probably so vocal because of their origin as sled dogs:
“Huskies are a very vocal breed. This is probably based on their origin as sled dogs who lived together in large groups and needed plenty of communication. Even nowadays, sled dog teams are loud – especially when excited before a run!”
The website also says huskies sometimes get vocal when they’re frustrated:
“Another common cause of barking in training is frustration. If your Husky doesn’t understand what you are asking him to do or how to perform a certain behavior, he is likely to make his frustration known by barking and vocalizing.
This is always solved by breaking the task down into smaller steps for your dog. Do not just repeat your cue over and over – your dog will not learn anything if you don’t “explain” what you want to him. Huskies might be vocal, but they sure do not understand what we are saying – so instead of using your words, use your actions.”

Blaze’s owner, John, also explained in the comments that he was really just teasing Blaze:
“Blaze didn’t actually need to go in his kennel… I was just teasing him that time lol”
I’m not going to lie — I’m impressed. Honestly, how can you resist that adorableness? That owner is just as stubborn as his pup — it’s probably why they get along so well!
