Huskies are amazing dogs that tend to require a lot of attention. In fact, husky experts recommend that families consider getting a different breed if there isn’t someone home in the household most of the time.
Even when they’re tuckered out from playing and joining you on the couch, they’re gluttons for attention.
And one hilarious husky has gone viral for her need to bond with her dad.
Dad, look at me
One thing is for sure: Millie the husky really loves her dad and wants him to love her right back. And it seems that unless dad is looking right at her AND touching her, she feels utterly neglected.
There’s no doubt dad can feel this stare. It’s like she’s trying to communicate with him telepathically.
Eventually, he relents and gives her a rub.
And while she’s clearly into it, eventually even that becomes not good enough.
What’s affection without eye contact anyway?
Giving in
No human could withstand that amount of puppy guilt, so dad relents and gives Millie all the love she can handle for a moment.
And her demeanor changes immediately.
There’s even a sweet nuzzle for his good girl.
She doesn’t even break eye contact when dad is right in her face.
Alas, dad is trying to show us just how much Millie likes attention, so he pretends to ignore her again.
Hey, you!
As you might imagine, Millie is not pleased.
And whether it’s to get his attention or to say “hey, we weren’t done here,” Millie gives him a good tap.
As a result, she gets some pets once again.
And once again it’s an improvement on the situation for at least a moment.
Last-ditch effort
Millie seems to know there’s only one way to get the attention she needs. She’s tried a polite tap, but now she’s going to have to put her whole body into it.
And that seems to be the trick. Dad knows that his silly pup isn’t going to give up until she gets some serious love, so he lifts her up into his arms.

Perfectly happy to be cradled like a baby, Millie lets her dad give her kisses on the face.
Was that too much to ask for?
All Millie ever wanted was dad’s complete and undivided attention.
In fact, she makes sure the camera is catching this moment – you know, in case he has to refer to it later on.
Since the video was uploaded by Poke My Heart in September of 2017, it’s been viewed more than 5 million times. And they picked it up after the original had already gone viral!
In fact, Millie has her own YouTube channel! And if it proves anything, it’s that this wasn’t a unique moment – she’s ALWAYS this affectionate!
The comments were full of “aww, that’s adorable” sentiments. It seems Millie has captured some more hearts.
