So often, the friends that we make when we are little don’t stay with us forever.
It’s a natural part of life and it’s normal to see our friends from each stage of life fade into the past.
One exception to that rule, however, is dogs!
Our dogs are friends that will be with us as long as they are alive.
They have unending love and don’t care if you change your beliefs, friend group, or where you live.
All they care about is being with you! Because of that, they make the most devoted friends around.
For one family, the two babies of the family became best friends for life right when they met each other!
Hazel is a baby girl (human) that lives with an amazing family!
She is super young and has a brother named Rio (husky) that she spends all her time with.
The two are nearly the same age and have since developed a special relationship that can only really be seen, rather than heard about!
Their family has started documenting their antics as they grow up together and it’s SO funny and cute.
When they first met, Rio was super confused as to what this small pink thing was.
Soon, however, he realized that he just stumbled upon the ultimate play-buddy and best friend!
Rio would sit next to the high-chair and eat alongside Hazel, never leaving her side.
He also knows that Hazel is his most reliable form of snacks! If she ever has a cup or snack in her hand, it’s basically free game for him!
Even better, she doesn’t mind snaring at all. Snack time is described as “constant”.
They have a special bond that is rarely seen between a dog and a child so young.
Rio has to be the first one to say hello and give her attention in the morning or he gets VERY upset.
He walks up and places his snout directly into the crib. Rio also loves to spend time in there, napping or playing – it doesn’t really matter!
“Mess is the name of the game”
The two of them are always playing and getting into big messes!
They are getting into cabinets, pulling on things, and having a generally destructive time.
Honestly, what else can you expect from two little ones who are forever on go-mode?
Watching the two grow up is as sweet as can be.
They are learning the same things together and it’s precious to watch.
They both learned to be gentle at the same time, and Hazel is currently learning to walk.
With both of them a lot more mobile now, the opportunities are endless for fun!
They are truly best friends and are as happy as can be.
Their mom, Jen, posts about the two of them on her Instagram and you can follow them to keep up with all their fun antics.
If only we could all have a lasting friend like Rio when we were babies!
