When a couple welcomes a baby into the world, oftentimes their pooch needs to have the patience of a saint.
Between the loud crying and innocent fur tugging – you gotta give dogs credit for being able to adjust to all the new chaos!
On the other hand, there are also some pretty sweet perks when a baby enters a dog’s life. On top of the dropped treats and extra cuddles, they have a brand new buddy to play with that has just as much energy as they do.
One mom was able to capture the most adorable interaction between her son and their pet husky. It’s so cute in fact, that it might just brighten your day!
In the video, a toddler is standing in his underwear surrounded by lots of toys. While he certainly has plenty to do in the room – he decides to play a fun howling game with the dog instead. Get ready for tons of “Ah-wooooo!”
It’s a true statement that kids grow up fast. But before the days of friends, technology, and social pressure – most kids find pleasure in the most simple things. And as a parent, these can be the best moments to witness.
The boy in the clip seems to think that his dog’s howling is absolutely hysterical. He’s even figured out how he can get his buddy to do it on command!
While his mom films, the toddler lets out his best, “Ah-wooooo!” Mom then sweetly encourages her son to keep going, saying, “Tell him.”

The boy can’t hold in his giggles as he tries to get the dog to copy his “Ah-wooooo!” Finally, the husky gets closer and howls back. In response to that, the kid laughs hysterically as if it’s the funniest thing.

When you’re having fun, why not keep it going? With the happiest face, the little tyke repeatedly yells, “Ah-wooooo!” As he does, the husky continues howling back. Going from the kid’s reaction you can tell he thinks it’s the best…game…ever!
Another viewer made a hilarious point though, writing:

If you own a husky (or even just watch a lot of YouTube videos) then you’re aware that it’s a vocal breed known for “talking” and howling.
According to the Husky Owner website, the breed’s howling comes from their wolf ancestors, whose howling travels further than barking out in the wild. This is helpful for wolves in regards to finding each other, or as the Canine Journal points out, it’s also used for warning other packs when it comes to their territory.
It’s impossible to keep a straight face watching the baby and husky howling together.
Even being surrounded by toys, the kid is having more of a blast listening to the “funny” sounds his pooch makes. At one point, he even topples over onto a box because he’s so into their game!

Sure, having to adjust to a new baby in the house probably isn’t always easy for a dog. But there are certainly a lot of fun moments too!
