There are many instances where pets have invaded Live TV Shows and News.
These pets may sometimes cause a ruckus, though at times they can be excused as they are pretty much doing adorably well in front of the camera.
Just like Storm, a mini Goldendoodle who since a pup was already a sight to see working along with his human Anthony Farnell.
Storm the Weather Dog is what he is commonly referred to.
The name Storm was given to him all thanks to an online poll which Anthony also obliged to.
Anthony Farnell has been in the weather industry since 2003.
And he became Chief Meteorologist by 2006 in Global Toronto.
Storm on the other hand also made a celebrity for himself when at one time his head just popped up while the anchor was delivering the news.
Thankfully it was during a good news story and the video went viral.
Anthony brought Storm that day at work because of the “Take your dog to work” day campaign.
Since then, Storm is known to randomly invade a live TV broadcast, especially during weather reports.
During one of the regular weather broadcasts, Anthony was making his news.
Explain the weather conditions in several areas, and what is the forecast for the upcoming days.
As he was continuing with the forecast, Storm walked into the screen.
Though at the news agency, this scenario is already almost normal, people watching this the first time would see it a bit awkward, but nonetheless cute.
As usual, Anthony and Storm still professionally pulled it off and managed to stay on course with the news with some adlibs by both Anthony and Storm.
While Anthony was explaining the temperatures in the upcoming days, Storm was also busy eating his treats.
Remarkably, the weather dog stayed calm and professional whenever he was on camera.
Storm has always been a regular inside the news agency with his own daily routine.
Anthony narrated that Storm makes a tour on every desk in the entire station looking for treats.
His co-workers already have them ready and Anthony thinks it’s the downside because Storm is packing on pounds.
He also often loses track of his dog and later knows that Storm is already on the other side of the building.
Storm is a great companion, says Anthony.
It’s better for the dog to be with him than leave him at home, all alone. It makes work much easier, especially during long work days.
Anthony also added that Storm always gives him the needed break either by cuddles, or sometimes asking Anthony for a quick walk outside the office for fresh air.
Outside work, Anthony and Storm go to schools and teach children about weather and meteorology.
Aside from this, they are very active in the community visiting senior homes.
The list of causes and organizations they support are growing, but is now more focused on the K9 as Storm’s popularity has grown.
They’ve been with Toronto Humane Society’s “Paws in the Park” and Global News’ very own “Dog Days Of Summer” event.
