Great Dane Lily might be blind, but she has her own seeing-eye dog named Maddison who takes her for walks! This is just more proof that despite their impressive size, Great Danes really are just big softies at heart. If these adorable photos are anything to go by, it’s clear that Lily puts all her trust into Maddison and it’s so adorable to see.

Is there anything more adorable than seeing a picture of a child cuddled up with a dog? Despite Edna’s head being twice the size of her human sister’s, the pair have the sweetest bond and often snuggle up together. We have to admit- a dog’s back is a super comfy spot for taking a nap on and beats a pillow any day!

This dog has been trying to figure out how one of his patches managed to fall off onto the floor for the past hour. His paws are so huge that he could squash the little kitten in an instant- but despite their size, these dogs are truly gentle giants and would never hurt a fly! We’ve got to admire kittens for their (arguably dumb) amounts of courage, though. This little guy is at least ten times smaller than his Great Dane friend, yet he can’t resist going in for a cheeky swipe with his paw. They don’t say cats have nine lives for nothing.

Some people train their dogs how to sit, beg, roll over, and all the usual tricks, but one Reddit user decided that his dog was better off learning a much more useful skill: “I trained my Great Dane to take selfies with me – if I’m sitting and extend my arm with my phone in hand, she plops up next to me, leans, and gives the camera this look.” Well we have to say that we think she’s totally mastered it!

We have to admit, we’re very impressed with this picture. Despite Hendrix’s interesting choice for a chew toy, we’re blown away by the flexibility that he’s showing off here. We’re not sure if this dog came as a kit or not- but if so, we think he was assembled wrong. He’d make a great circus contortionist though!

We thought that Scooby Doo had gone quiet for a few years, so it’s nice to see that he’s still alive and well. In all seriousness, though, this adorable pooch could give old Scoobs a run for his money! According to his owner, they were off to a costume party, and the spots had been painted on with face paint. We can only hope that his owner went as Shaggy to complete the duo!

If there’s ever a picture that looks photoshopped, it’s this one. We knew Great Danes could be big, but just imagine having this guy sat next to you on the couch! We bet he eats more than the entire family put together.

It took us a minute to figure out that this big guy is absolutely terrified of his puppy friend- so much so that he’s cowering on top of the couch to get away from him. This just goes to show that attitude is not always proportional to size, and proves our theory that big dogs think they’re little and little dogs think they’re big. What an absolute softie!

Most dogs are happy with a tennis ball or two, but Great Danes always have to take things that one step further. Although we’d question whether this is a full-sized basketball, it’s certainly bigger than a tennis ball. What an impressive talent!

Apparently, Pippin, a helpless baby fawn, was abandoned by her mother on the property of Isobel Springett. Isobel’s Great Dane, Kate, adopted Pippin immediately and they have been best friends ever since! What an amazing bond.

We know all too well that not every picture taken of us is going to be our best- especially the candid ones. We’ve never seen a more appropriate name for a dog, though we can guarantee that Beast’s gentle personality won’t quite match up with her name (or her size!) Still, Great Danes are the exact height for taking selfies, so they’re the perfect companion really.
