A dance challenge is always better when an animal gets involved, especially a horse! Horses are not known for their dance movies but Linda and Rhonda are changing that. Their line dance is even more impressive because they prepared for only two weeks prior to filming their dance.

“Boot Scootin’ Boogie” is a great line dance for beginners, even beginner horses. Brooks & Dunn released the song in 1991 and it has been a staple for line dancers ever since.

SongFacts state, “The line dance originated when a choreographer named Bill Bader … thought it might make a good dance. He came up with the choreography and started teaching the line dance in Vancouver, where it was also known as the ‘Vancouver Boogie.’

The dance spread to the States, and this became a favorite as line dancing took off. Even bars that didn’t specialize in country music began offering line dancing lessons, and this was one of the top dances.”

Everybody loves a fun twirl in a line dance and Linda is no different.

Linda gets an extra pep in her step when the twirls come. Rhonda helps guide Linda throughout most of the line dance but when it comes to time twirl Linda does not need any help. Linda happily twirls all on her own.

Rhonda has a special trick up her sleeves, or should we say in her pocket, to help Linda keep dancing. Rhonda has treats that she gives to Linda to encourage her for her great line dancing. The next time you are learning a line dance you might want to ask your instructor if they have special treats to congratulate you!

Everyone should earn treats for learning new dances, not just horses.

Brooks & Dunn are two country cowboys and it does not get more country than a horse recreating a line dance. Rhonda took a dance challenge and kept the song to its roots. “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” is about a man that unwinds at his local dive bar by dancing.

Rhonda might not be at her local dive bar but she is sure unwinding by dancing with her talented horse, Linda.
