I am convinced that dogs can make friends with almost anyone and anything. A properly socialized dog has never seen a stranger! They love to play with whatever friends they can find. Most of that time that is other humans and dogs, but occasionally, they find friends across the species line.
There are countless stories of dogs befriending the wildest of animals – and sometimes their worst enemies!

Dogs and cats are “enemies” in popular media but in real life, they can be the best of friends. Dogs have the ability to socialize really well. They can also be taught to be gentle with a variety of creatures, even ones they are born to hunt or track!

Henry and Baloo are two lifelong friends! Henry is a dog who loves to hike and snuggle with his humans. Baloo is a cat who… likes to do the exact same thing! The two are best friends and even have an Instagram that their dad runs for them. Dogs and cats really can be the best of friends!
Tucker is a YouTube famous dog who is known for his reaction to new “friends”.

Tucker is a golden retriever who loves to play with new friends and new toys. His owner, Courtney Budzyn brings home new toys for Tucker to react to and the results are hilarious! Watching a dog play and respond to the toys is just about as innocent as it gets, and people love it.
One of the unique things about Courtney’s videos is that she puts captions to simulate her dog talking.

The results are pretty funny as we get to see “inside the mind” of the pooch. In this particular video, Courtney brings home two new friends that Tucker gets to meet for the very first time. The ensuing fun is just as innocent and heartwarming as it gets.
Meet the caterpillar!
The first friend is a giant robotic caterpillar! It is green and mechanical, allowing it to crawl across the floor when released. When Tucker sees it for the first time, he tries to bite it! After he realizes it’s not a threat, he just chases it around the house until it get stuck.
The caterpillar lasts maybe five minutes before Tucker “kills” him.
Tucker really liked his new friend the caterpillar. He liked him enough to accidentally break it five minutes into playtime. Even after it broke, you can see how happy he was to play with the little toy!
The next friend tucker meets is a bit more resilient.
Courtney promises to get him a new present as long as he doesn’t “kill” it as fast as the first time around. Sitting him on the bed, she brings it in. Its a mouse!
Not a real mouse, of course, but a play one.
Who knows what would have happened if she brought a real mouse into the equation! Probably a messy event all around. The mouse she DID bring, however, is a mechanical one that crawls around on the bed.
The “moose” causes quite the stir with the fun pup!
Out of the two, this one is much funnier to watch. It rolls around and really gets the dog barking! Tucker’s reaction to the mouse is really hilarious. He goes through all the emotions playing with it. Dogs truly can have fun with anything!
