Is there anything better than a “Spot the animal/person/random object” picture? It’s basically like a game of Where’s Waldo and gives us a good five minutes or so of entertainment. And while it might be tempting to cheat, the sense of pride that you get from eventually finding the animal/person/random object is enough to make the whole thing worth it.
So if you have some time to spare, we have a fun game for you – and we challenge you to take part in it before looking for the answer!
The “Spot the Dog” photo was originally taken by Christina Brickles in Oklahoma, and once she shared her picture on Facebook, it soon had viewers from people all over the world.
Captioned, “Can you spot me doggie,” the photograph shows Christina’s pretty normal looking kitchen. In there are some worktops, a bin, a fridge/freezer, and two rugs. At first glance, there seems to be no dog in sight. Take a look at the picture below:
After five minutes of staring, we can still simply see a bare kitchen, and admittedly, we had to take to the comments to find out the answer. If, like us, you’ve given up, then read on to be put out of your misery.
If you want to have one more look, then scroll back up again – as we’re about to reveal the answer!
It turns out that the dog is actually a fully black German Shepherd, and he’s sitting almost totally blending into the black rug to the right of the picture. If you turn your screen on full brightness, you can just about make out the dog’s nose, left ear, and right back leg – but to be honest, it mostly just looks like a black smudge to us.
These challenges are probably more for those with 20/20 vision, but they’re still fun to take part in. We’d love to know if you found the dog without any help!
If you loved that challenge and you’re raring for more, then we’ve found another one for all you eagle-eyed readers, this time coming from user u/shetarp429 on Reddit. The picture is captioned, “I was frantically looking for my dog for 10 minutes,” and this time shows off the person’s bedroom.
Some people (like us) struggled to find the dog, while others spotted him instantly. Take a look at the picture below and see if you can see him for yourself:
If you’re still struggling, we’ll drop a hint that it’s mostly just the dog’s boopable snout and nose that are visible. But if you still can’t find him, then spoiler alert, he’s tucked under the bedcovers! We’ll draw a circle around him to show you.
People took to the comments to share how they did. Many people had success in finding the dog, with one person saying, “Took me a solid minute to find it. Haha. Adorable!!” Another added, “Found him in 10 seconds, but I have been trained by years of dachshunds on how to finds a blanket burrower!”
But others, like us, took a little longer to find the dog. “That took me WAY too long,” someone said, while another added, “I know that there is a dog in this picture but I can’t find him.”
How did you do with these two challenges? Is your eyesight as poor as ours? Let us know in the comments below!
