Some women will tell you that their husbands are big babies. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
You see, play is very important for adults as well as children.
Unfortunately, some of us are sometimes tricked into becoming so preoccupied with our day-to-day tasks and the stresses of life that we forget to play.
Science tells us that adults who play are better at coping with stress and fostering resilience.
“Research on playfulness has long focused on children, while the study of its expression in adulthood has only recently been undertaken. This cross-sectional study investigated the interrelationship between playfulness in young adults, perceived stress, and styles of coping with 898 students from three universities,” a study titled “The Playful Advantage: How Playfulness Enhances Coping With Stress” states.
“Findings revealed that playful individuals reported lower levels of perceived stress than their less playful counterparts, and more frequently utilized adaptive, stressor-focused coping strategies and were less likely to employ negative, avoidant, and escape-oriented strategies.”
YouTube user judocarrie’s husband sure knows how to let loose and have fun. After all, why should children have all the fun when the winter weather hits?
When the snow falls, he likes to hit the sledding slopes with his special friend… his dog.
Her husband told her that he was going to take the dog for a hike. And he took a video while he was at it.
“So I asked my husband to go take the dog for a hike in the woods today and this is what I got back for proof… Just a man and his dog having fun! It’s as cold as ice here! Yes, he is sliding on his jacket. Wait for the 2nd run!” his wife wrote as the video’s caption.
The video shows the husband careening down a smooth snowy path on his back. His jacket is his sled.
His trusty dog is running alongside him the entire time the husband is sledding down the path.
The husband is videotaping himself the entire way showing us views of himself, his dog, and the landscape.
During his second run, his doggy is trying to get in on more of the action.
He’s basically just trying to cover his dad in kisses the whole time.
