Although there are many excellent dog breeds, one, in particular, is hard to beat … the Golden Retriever. This specific type of dog is gorgeous but also friendly, loving, and protective. If you’re thinking about getting a dog, especially if you have children, you won’t go wrong with a Golden Retriever.
And did we mention just how comical and curious they are? That’s why when they see something out of the ordinary, the first thing they want to do is investigate. Depending on what they encounter, they might run off or stand their ground, but then again, don’t be surprised if they do something silly, as one man discovered.
An entire herd
Considering just how amazing Golden Retrievers are, it’s not easy to stop at one. A guy found that out for himself. Ultimately, he ended up with nine beautiful pups that appear to all be around the same age.
Keeping things fun
In a lot of ways, dogs are like humans. For instance, they get embarrassed, grumpy, mad, sad, and bored. Even when you have a lot of dogs as this guy does, life can become stagnant. Wanting to make things fun but also see how his pups would react, he did something that was downright hysterical.
Time to play T-rex
That’s right. This guy donned a T-rex costume. He planned to go inside the pen where he keeps his dogs to liven things up. Of course, he was also curious what they would do when they saw him in his crazy getup.
Viral video
Fortunately, the dog’s owner uploaded a video of the encounter. So far, it’s reached almost 10,000 views. But as word spreads, there’s no question the numbers are going to skyrocket.
From the beginning
Wearing a massive costume, the man walks into the dog’s pen. The funny thing is that while they bark at him, they can’t stop wagging their tails. A couple of the pups simply sit there watching as if they know who’s trying to fool them.
Following along
As the man prances around, several of his Golden Retrievers stay right on his heels. From their reaction, you have to wonder if he’s done something like this before. They’re super happy and eager to play with their new big dinosaur friend.
No fear
In true Golden Retriever style, they’re not afraid of this thing at all. Instead, most of the dogs surround him, jumping up, and yes, still wagging their tails. It’s so silly yet super fun to watch.
On their level
Further in the video, the man gets down on his knees. Considering the size and bulk of the costume, that wasn’t an easy task. But once he’s on the pup’s level, they can’t get enough of him.
Trying to run
If you notice, the operative word here is “trying.” The owner does his best to jog around the pen but it’s easy to see that he’s struggling a little bit. Regardless, his gorgeous dogs follow him everywhere he goes, happily barking and eager to play.
Having the time of their lives
At no time did the man say a word. Yet somehow, probably from his scent, they knew their daddy was in the dinosaur costume. As they continue to jump on him, it’s as though they want him to poke his head out to confirm their suspicion.
Sure, taking dogs for a walk or swimming at a local park is fun. But if you have pups, especially Golden Retrievers, something like this might inspire you to think outside of the box.
