Our Pets are like family
Whether you have a dog, cat, bird, or even all of the above, there’s no denying that they mean something more to us than just the word “pet”. They’re like family; sharing with us some of the most important moments in our lives and redefining some of our best qualities into something further. Through thick and thin, they stick it out with us in any weather.
A dog handler by the name of Johnathan Lower has built a bond with his pup, Teddy, that is quite unbreakable. He goes by “thehomeprojectguy” on TikTok as an avid poster when suddenly one day he decides to do a kind gesture to better suit his furry best friend.
He built Teddy a home within his home

Lower very recently moved into a new home and found that the space provided was not enough for Teddy. So what did Lower do? Being the handyman that he is, he decided to take things into his own hands and began creating more room for Teddy. He realized he would have to bust down the walls to add more living space.
Teddy’s new home was beginning to shape up into a little cozy resting place for all of his comfort needs. It includes a window, fireplace, tv, and even a raised bed. Talk about first world problems! The once “homeless” dog finally has a place where he can relax and melt away any problem he encounters throughout the day.
It’s really a privilege to be Teddy right now.
As you can see, Teddy is loving his new home within a home. He looks like he’s been settled there for years with how easily he was able to accommodate to the space. His adorable face says just how much joy is in his heart after receiving such a lovely gift from his Dad.
The entrance is designed with layered stone and two lanterns to give it an old-style aesthetic. Every home needs a welcome mat, and Teddy had his very own with the words, “Teddy’s House” engraved on it. As we go inside, we can see Teddy’s bed is elevated from the ground up and has two drawers containing all his doggie treats and toys.
Did we mention Teddy has his very own television?
Normally we don’t let our kids watch television past bedtime, so we’ll just assume Teddy has been watching his favorite cartoons in moderation. His little window above his bed gives him the ability to enjoy the outdoors when he’s feeling too lazy to go outside. Overall, Teddy looks like he has all his essential needs taken care of with this little home project.
