They say opposites attract and that’s very true in the case of Frankenstein and Pippin. Frank happens to be a fun-loving and super quick black and white guinea pig. But his best buddy isn’t another guinea pig — Pippin is a beautiful Golden Retriever who’s much, much bigger.

Despite their obvious differences that include species, size and gender, they have one thing in common. They love each other tremendously.

You would never expect these two to become the best of friends. In fact, Frankenstein absolutely adores Pippin. They have an amazing time together whether they’re lounging on the couch or going for a stroll.

“He has to follow her everywhere she goes. He always has to be up under her when they’re outside. Some describe it like he’s on remote control. Pippin really doesn’t mind her little shadow. She’s totally fine with it.”

Their mom captures footage and pictures of their adventures together on YouTube and Instagram. Frank follows Pippin wherever she goes. In fact, when the family isn’t outside with Pippin and Frank, they tie a balloon onto Frank so that they can’t lose him.

Frank loves to cuddle with Pippin on the couch and when they’re together, he snuggles right up against the cute canine. Guinea pigs may be rodents, but they’re very social creatures.

“If Pippin is on the couch, he has to be under her. He just becomes at ease. She’s his comfort pillow.”

Even though Frank is the only guinea pig in the house and they prefer to exist in pairs, Frank and Pippin actually are the perfect match.

“He has a perfect companion with his doggy sister, Pippin. All he wants in his life is Pippin. He usually has to be touching her.”

Sometimes Frank forgets that he isn’t the size of Pippin. He gets as close as he can to her every chance he has.

Their hooman will sometimes gently swat Frank with Pippin’s tail and they all get a kick out of the craziness that ensues.

“Oh Frank, that tail will get you every time.”

This crazy pair has the best game where Frank hides under the couch and pops out at Pippin. Sometimes the only way they can lure Frank out from under the couch is to use Pippin.

If Frank’s cage door closes, Pippin becomes distraught.

“They like to have full access to each other. You can see the happiness that she brings to him.”

No one expected these two to hit it off quite like they did. They have a relationship their owner describes as “unique.” The dynamic duo not only is spectacular together but they love their little hoomans, too.

The pair also gets a kick out sitting together and dining on corn on the cob. They patiently take turns receiving tummy scratches and belly rubs from their hoomans and enjoy stealing popcorn from Mom and Dad.

Check out their special bond in the video below. It’s incredibly cute!
